Alice Cooper and friend Face it - rock and roll isn't that scary. Unless you're an uptight parent, or some kind of preacher. Rock music about Halloween, and the stuff that comes with Halloween, is goofy and funny, but it isn't frightening. Although I must admit, I got a bit of a fright the first time I saw Adam Lambert perform ... but thankfully that's not rock and roll. Or is it? Bwahahahaha! Back in the day, there was Alice Cooper. He had an act that involved boa constrictors, decapitating baby dolls with a [...]

Last weekend I was in Washington D.C. visiting some friends and staying in Dupont Circle area of town. On Sunday morning I did something I hadn't done in almost 10 years - visit the Dupont Circle Farmer's Market . If you love farmer's markets and happen to be in Washington DC on a Sunday, you owe it to yourself to go. Here is what their website has to say about the market: The Dupont Circle FRESHFARM Market is located in the [...]

After living in a post-fire bedroom for the past month, the smell of the water from the fire brigade is making me feel one of two things. 1, A little sick and 2, depressed. So of course this would lead me to listening to cold wave. Martin Dupont drew mostly from post punk and Goth (of course). With a typical echo Goth beat, dark wave synth fuzz and vocals vibrating up and down sit just perfectly. I am a little scared however that all this dark/cold/goth wave is creeping to close to industial techo. Im hoping tastes don't evolve to this, Its a thin line... ie. [...]
