Tulsa Guitarist Bill Pitcock IV Dead at 59 Tulsa guitarist Bill Pitcock IV passed away Friday morning after a long battle with cancer. He was 59. Pitcock IV was a member of the Dwight Twilley Band, the Mystery Band and Michelle Brown and Musicians of Mass Destruction, and played with Twilley and Phil Seymour throughout their solo careers. He began performing professionally in 1964 as the guitarist with his parent's dance band, Billy Pitcock and his Orchestra. Dwight Twilley Band - You Were So Warm
Nada Surf kicked off their 2010 tour with some New York shows last week. They covered the Dwight Twilley nugget 'You Were So Warm' from the classic 1976 pop LP ' Sincerely '. It's included on Nada Surf's new LP of covers called "If We Had a HiFi", which is available at shows now and as a digital download in June. The Nada Surf live version was bolstered by the talents of Doug Gillard, former GBV guitarist and current solo songwriter based in Brooklyn.
