Baltimore-based e-dubble has been at it for some time now, honing his craft both on the boards and behind the mic to achieve a high quality, original, and resonating sound to his music that's resulted in a concrete online presence and some considerable i-tunes visibility. Amidst all this, the dude's also a rapper that can step on the stage and put on a show - recently doing so at Baltimore's 8x10 along side Komplex and DJ DLake . If you've stayed up with the big fella, it's [...]

Hey may be putting the resurgence of Freestyle Fridays on hold for a bit, but we're glad to see that doesn't mean the big homie e-dubble is taking a break from new material, as today he rolls out "Grey Skies" courtesy of P&P . Taking the liberty of not doing all the work on this one, dub teams up with fellow B'more musician Villian on the production end for an alternative and pretty damn cool. Enjoy below and stay tuned... Pigeons and Planes just featured another E Dubble joint! This one is produced by Villain, AKA Billy Martin of the pop-punk group Good Charlotte. Some wobble bass and distorted drums are way cooler than mohawks and emo lyrics. This makes for a pretty creepy collabo. Enjoy.

Part of what e-dubble is known for is his production, but for "Grey Skies" he decided to hand the reigns over to Villain (aka Billy Martin of Good Charlotte) for a twist on the sound we're used to. It's a little darker than usual and it's got a hint of an industrial nature to it, but e-dub's message is as on point as ever. Expect more from these two in the future, and look out for an EP that e-dubble has in the works. "We feelin' anxious, 'cause time is an issue." [...]

This is possibly the best news of 2012 to date. A bold claim admittedly, but when you consider the quality that the last Freestyle Friday (FF) series dished up, a justified one. For those of you who don't know e-dubble hails from Baltimore and for the entirity of 2010 he released a free track every Friday that saw his passionate, entertaining flow masterfully laid over a huge variety of samples. There was "Class Clown" a story of teenage awkwardness and insecurity, "No alcohol to quell the inhibitions, we fight those with jokes about kissing," laid over a bouncy [...]
My favorite Maryland rapper, e-dubble, is back with Freestyle Friday. "Last Man Standing" has great production, a consistent feature of e-dub songs. The rapping is alright, but as a huge fan of the production, that's what really wins me over in this song. e-dubble - Last Man Standing (Freestyle Friday #54) Previous: e-dubble - Fight [...]

Dropped over at P&P , we gotta get up the 54th installment of Freestyle Friday from the infamous lyric slinger himself, e-dubble - "Last Man Standing". The successful and impressive display of weekly works from 2010 are to make a resurgence in this new year - another indication that 2012 will be free of any natural disasters, Arab uprisings, or sudden deaths of global innovators - f*ck Based God, thank you, e-dub... After a short break, e-dubble is back on a mission. As always, the big man from Baltimore is heated and coming with some shit to get you riled up. "Last Man Standing" is another testament to why we're rooting for e-dub in 2012. With that amount of passion spilling out, how could you not? *Turns song up, flips desk over, breaks window, takes off pants, runs through streets* e-dubble - Last Man Standing

Anyone can make a short list of the artists buzzing right now. Do you have the internet? Yes? Then you know who is buzzing, because you can't avoid them. Within 20 minutes of them releasing a song, showing up on TV, or just stopping by Tumblr to drop off some pictures of their ever-improving lives, we hear about it. Twitter timelines and feeds fill up with a flurry of slightly varying headlines from all your favorite blogs, who rush to share the news first, hoping that maybe if you see their news story first, you'll share it with all your [...]

Last year, I didn't listen to enough albums to make anything more than a top five list. That was not the case this year. Here are my ten favorite albums of 2011. These are the ones that I spent the most time with because they sounded good and, more importantly, because they spoke to me.
Calling once again DMV hip hop fans - this time primarily those who dig the distinct production, indie sampling, and the resonating rhyme slaying of the homie e-dubble . The multi-talented fellow will be making a splash this Saturday night at one of Baltimore's finest and close-knit venues, The 8x10 , for an evening of lyrical fuego, heavy beats, and fine domestic beers. Also performing is multi-piece local outfit Breaking Reign, emcee duo Pro & Reg, along with regional spinster DJ Addikt. Sir dubble (aka, "one of the only white rappers [...]
Phantogram 's 'Don't Move' is definitely one of my favourite tracks from 2011. Taken from their 'Nightlife EP' released recently it has had a HUGE reception. It's been scattered all over the blogosphere, with everyone loving it. I have to be honest I didn't find the track directly. I found it from another track which I love which samples it. Edubble 's new track 'Fight For Days' samples it and it's so good I'm struggling to decide which I prefer. You can download 'Fight For Days' free and buy 'Nightlife EP' on iTunes . [...]
