'Weathervane' originated, like a lot of nice things, from the Norweigan Eardrumpop 's label. I must admit I missed the original release by Early To Bed but tracked it back after roman remixer Schlock (fully capitalised and followed by !) sent me this reworking. Both the original and the remix are wonderful with the latter particularly suited to warm sunny Friday wind-downs. Italian producer Schlock! that we posted about previously here sent us news of his New EP 'Star Whores' consisting of remixes/bootlegs that he's done over the last couple of years. I bet you haven't thought about these guys in a while. This little forgotten gem has been kicking around my hard drive and I've been dying to dust it off. Morphine were a Boston band that achieved modest success in the mid to late nineties with the MTV 120 Minutes crowd. With unique instrumentation and the mellow tenor of lead singer Mark Sandman , the band blended right in with the alt-rock movement. Well, until the tragic death of Sandman, while performing onstage in 1999. Unfortunately, the singer suffered [...]

Me and the Horse I Rode In On (aka Henry) and Wisdom Tooth (aka Meagan) have recorded a lovely tune together under the name of Early To Bed . Meagan wrote the song and sings lead while Henry stood for the production and can be heard singing back up vocals during the chorus. A full EP is in the works but probably won't be out until this coming fall because of time time constricts on both behalves. So until then, enjoy the lullaby-like "Prayers"! ~ "Prayers" ~
