Attending the Cabinet of Wonders is one of the smartest things you can do in New York City and definitely one of my favorites. J Mascis (of course of Dinosaur Jr fame) has a great new vinyl 73 of his cover of Edie Brickell and New Bohemians' "Circle." J's been playing "Circle" at shows during the past year or so and it's become a big audience favorite. J kinda reminds us what a cool tune it was to start with. I watched every episode religiously that year, so that I could return on Monday to the first of many Algebra classes I had failed and re-hash the entire episode with Mike Popowski. Thinking about Paul Simon made me think about Edie Brickell (whom he married in 1992 and has three kids with). I got so so into this album ( Shooting Rubber Bands at the Stars ) sometime in high school. I think I can actually remember rocking out to it on my discman.
