Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros are known for their hippie tendencies and folksy, sing-songy sound, as indicated by the above photograph of the group holding hands in a field. This Little Daylight remix drags them out of their comfort zone a little, but not too far. So I actually saw Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros in concert (totally by chance at the last minute, which is the best way to go into a concert), and I feel like this post is only appropriate because it's the remix track I've been waiting for for these guys. We saw Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros a few months ago during SXSW in Austin, and the band won us over with its sincerity and unfettered musicianship. It wouldn't be unfathomable for Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros to make another album to rival their first album. Realistically speaking, not sure there's much of a chance to come even remotely close to "Up from Below." The Zeros have released the charming follow-up with the release "Here," and despite lacking any of the punchiness from the first album, the sophomore album plays as well as one could expect with the primary album receiving a lot more careful attention.
