Happy Easter world. Boston woke up this morning and decided to be 75 and sunny for no reason in particular, which was stellar. If I had Edwin van Cleef's remix to Phoenix's smash "Lisztomania" while walking around the city, it would've made the day that much better. Jane Elizabeth Hanley handles the vocals, and adds a new spin to one of my favorite songs of the past couple of years. Definitely worth the download. Was about my way out when I took a quick glance in the inbox and to my happy eyes I saw a mail with a new Edwin Van Cleef track. Great news for us who long for the upcoming EP in July. I'm speechless. This track is simply amazing. It really is hard to put into words but I'll try. This cover Phoenix's "Lisztomania" features vocals of Jane Elizabeth Hanley and the amazing production of Edwin van Cleef. Together they deliver us, in my opinion, the best cover/remix of Phoenix's "Lisztomania" I have yet to hear. I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is even better than the original. Edwin Van Cleef is the latest artist to try and do something special to Phoenix's 'Lisztomania' and rather than just do some re-arranging, which he of course has done, he enlisted female vocalist Jane Hanley - and the results are stunning, a lovely piece of vocal disco, full of charm, emotion and very powerful.
