While Def Jux is officially defunct, El-P remains to be one of the driving forces in hip-hop right now. His production ranks among the best, and his raps are rather slick as well. We have been waiting for what seems like an eternity for a solo follow-up to P's I'll Sleep When You're Dead , so any stroke of solo mastery is welcome in my book. It looks like our pals over at CoS got El-P's newest track "Drones Over BKLYN" a day early. The track is set to be released tomorrow as a part of this year's Adult Swim Singles Series and it is the first taste off El's forthcoming 3rd full length tenatively titled Cancer 4 Cure. Piggybacking off the success of the irritatingly catchy "Combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell" , Brooklyn's Das Racist dropped two mixtapes in 2010, Shut Up, Dude and Sit Down, Man , that caught the attention of a hungry fanbase. Now, the trio try to serve up another hit with their proper debut album, Relax , this September 13th. Company Flow, the seminal/defunct group featuring El-P , Bigg Jus and Mr. Len , have recently  announced a reunion show set for July 16 in NYC. "N2N Burners" is a lost mix given to us by El-P that feels cleaner, darker than its predecessor " End to End Burners ". There are less scratches and the funky guitar sample is toned down. Although, the track's thick, deep synth and minor key bass makes it a welcome addition to a Company Flow catalog that's gone dry of late. No, it's not Funcrusher or Funcrusher Plus [...]

On Friday's, content becomes a free-for-all and perfect time for us to share this lost remix of Company Flow's "N2N Burners" circa 1998. Complete with flecks of dust, the newfound version is composed of a lo-fi groove similar to ones which made the group kings of the underground once upon a time and creates an aura that feels like old times again, if only for four minutes. Before heading over to London to perform with Portishead at the I'll Be Your Mirror festival, Company Flow (EL-P, Bigg Jus and Mr. Len) will share the stage once again, as the full outfit, for the first time in over 10 years at Santos Party House on July 16th.
