Atelier Ciseaux and La Station Radar have yet again collaborated on a stunning 123 split for Ela Orleans and Dirty Beaches . Here are two music videos made for the release. The first is for Ela Orleans' haunting piano-driven "Neverend", a visual creation of mirrored imagery with projections of dimly lit streets. Second, is Dirty Beaches' "God Speed", with three full minutes of upbeat drums and urging guitar over footage of the endearing Salvation Mountain in California. The 123 silk-screened covered record can be ordered here .
Born in Taiwan, Alex Zhang Hungtai (aka Dirty Beaches ) grew up on the - sometimes imagined - beaches of North America. His music brings back to life the forgotten stories of a wild America of the 1960s, stories imprinted on scorched hope. Ela Orleans left her native Poland for Glasgow before settling in the vastness of New York.
