Luckily I've watched Skins , so I know how precocious 17-year-olds can be. Even so, the four of 'em in London rock act Elessie sure don't do things normally. Listening to their ( free ) debut EP, Messily , I kept having to jump back to the start of a track to check I hadn't inadvertantly changed bands. Album opener You Don't Speak For Us kicks off as an ornery punk song, all anarchic vocals and guitars droning like angry wasps, before abruptly segueing into an unexpectedly pretty mid-section jam.
