If I'd heard this record by Eli 'Paperboy' Reed and The True Loves last year, chances are it would have made my favourites list. However I didn't, so it didn't. But I'm sure if you've been coming here a while, you already know that I've got a soft spot for that Motown and Stax soul sound.
