Geen nostalgie bij twee Elliott's: Murphy en e# Vorige maand speelden twee muzikanten in Amsterdam die ik nog nooit live had gehoord. Dat ligt niet aan hen, want zowel Elliott Murphy als Elliott Sharp (afgekort e#) zijn al meer dan 30 jaar actief. Hoog tijd voor een nadere kennismaking. Murphy (foto) debuteerde in 1973 met het album Aquashow, dat in de traditie staat van singer songschrijvers die ook kunnen rocken. Bob Dylan is één van zijn grote voorbeelden.
