The 1 st edition of A Stoner's Guide on Beats to Blaze to , featuring mostly hip hop, was a major failure, so I said fuck it for the second edition the following year... well, it was a failure up until StumbleUpon got a hold of it about six months back. Apparently, there's a whole lotta stoners on StumbleUpon because that shit shut down my site several times. So in tribute, I decided to start it back up and go from a hip-hop theme [...]

Rapt by the melody. Emancipator, known to his friends as Doug Appling, is a talented young artist whose style could only be equivocated to an emotional electronic symphony. The 24 year-old producer's first two releases, Safe In Steep Cliffs and Soon It Will Be Cold Enough , employ an orchestra of organic sounds that evoke an atmosphere of inquisitiveness and wonder. Entwining original recordings of guitar, mandolin, violin and banjo into his music, Emancipator cultivates a natural cohesion between acoustic and electronic harmonies. His work often leaves the listener adrift in their own thoughts; whether you're [...]

So I decided to create a rather unconventional music post today. Get ready to be INSPIRED. I've recently helped some friends of mine launch a clothing line called the ADAMO Collection. The whole idea behind this company is to provide a platform for rebelliously creative young people to pursue their passions, collaborate with each other, [...]

Rather, it's an ambient trip hop in the vein of Bonobo and Boards of Canada - the perfect type of music to listen to when you [...]
