A little more than a month ago Emerald Park released the album "Absolute Zero", the third one since they started in 2002. It's been four years since the last time and one would expect some changes in the music. And there is, quite a few, which they signalled with their single "Reality Bites" last year. It's more naked, happier, more tounge-in-cheek, more romantic and nostalgic and the entire production feels more spontaneous. Die schwedische Band Emerald Park aus Malm kamen zwar bisher nicht so richtig in die Ptte, geben aber nicht auf. Jetzt knnte es vielleicht klappen. Als Vorbote des Ende Mrz erscheinenden Albums "Absolute Zero" gibt es mit "Things" nmlich einen ziemlich guten Song. Schn reduziert, ohne Fisimatenten. The four songs on the "Slow 2004-2005" compilation are taken from "Sadness Within" (2004) and the single "My Star" (2005). Emerald Park was at that time a completely different band, with different band members and a different musical preference. During the recording of "Sadness Within" the guys listened to bands such as Wilco, Jayhawks and Calexico. After the release of the record they wanted to find something else.
