They sound like they're making music in post-punk London, circa 1979. They look like they're from Modesto, CA, circa 1999. Inspired musically by Camus, fashionably by Steinbeck. Because they don't fit the mold, it's doubtful you'll find them splashed across glossy magazines or blogged about incessantly by the cool kids. Das hier ist eine Post über eine Band, der ich in Zukunft viel mehr Aufmerksamkeit und einen richtigen Plattenvertrag wünsche. Meine Sympathien haben sie sowieso schon. Von den Shoegazerpostindierockern Empty Rooms aus Kalifornien gibt es nach ihrer 2005er Debüt EP nun endlich neues zu vermelden. Bis auf das Cover ist die neue selbstverlegte EP namens "Lacuna" fertig, klingt deutlich gereifter und wartet somit auf mindestens 100000 transantlantische Bestellungen.
