Before I try to take any credit for finding this band, I didn't. One of my online friend and fellow fan of all things Slowcoustic, Ryan made mention of the album on a forum post and I took a listen and thought y'all might wanna hear it as well! Erland & The Carnival's album, Nightingale , is a twisting, expansive, and cinematic treat perhaps more suitable for those who don't give a damn about award winners, trindie or not. The record comes out on March 29th via Full Time Hobby/Yep Roc in North America. Englishman is the musical project of Lexington, KY native Andrew English. Englishman’s self-titled debut full-length was cut to tape in the converted barn he helped to build on a rural Ohio farm, it is at once familiar and haunted. Lexington, Kentucky group Englishman performed at Tuesday night's Listening Room show (which was amazing by the way. Jonathan and company did an awesome job putting that together.) and I was marveled at how simple their sound was and yet powerful at the same time.
