It took the better part of two days of stopping and starting but I finally finished watching David Lynch's Eraserhead . In some ways this movie screams for a Mystery Science Theater or Rifftrax take on it while at other points there are some truly beautiful/disturbing visuals that justify this films cult status. I don't believe the film had a proper trailer at it's release in 1977 but here is a fan made trailer that will give you an idea of what you'll experience watching this film. [...]

Heads up to collectors of soundtracks, fans of David Lynch and general aficionados of the weird; the Eraserhead Original Soundtrack Recording has been given a repress. But its limited Deluxe Edition is far more than just an oddity. It’s also an early claim to greatness from one of the most unusual and unpredictable multi-media artists to have appeared in the last forty years. Eraserhead was a difficult film to see in the mid-‘80s, or at least it proved to be such outside of the bohemian enclaves that thrived in the major [...]
You may have noticed that we're kinda David Lynch fanatics here at Flavorpill (we have an in-house band who do a live re-soundtracking of Twin Peaks , for Chrissakes), so we greeted the arrival yesterday of the fancy limited-edition double-LP Eraserhead soundtrack with unconstrained joy. The sound design on Lynch's mind-bending debut is almost as important as the visuals, creating an atmosphere that echoes the film's ominous, industrial setting. Until now, however, it's been nigh on impossible to get a copy of, so in celebration [...]
Before the Pixies covered In Heaven , the song appeared in David Lynch's classic Eraserhead . You can now buy a reissue of the soundtrack to Eraserhead on vinyl and imagine your own lady in the radiator. Though In Heaven sounded like it was sung by a female vocalist, it was actually written and performed by Peter Ivers .
The soundtrack to David Lynch's landmark film has been reissued. How does it hold up? Sacred Bones, 2012 6.9 / 10.0 The one comforting aspect about David Lynch’s first feature film, 1977’s Eraserhead, is that it is just as shocking today as it was when it was released. I [...]

As previously posted a few days ago . The revealing of the line-up for the first annual Arboretum Festival took place at Babylon Nightclub on June 7, 2012. The festival will take place on September 15th at the Ottawa Hostel courtyard. There was a lovely artwork and display on stage. Grill cheese sandwiches on hand. Which was deliciously good! Rolf Klausener and Marlene Power were on hand to reveal the list of local businesses participating this event. The [...]
![Eight And A Half, The Gallop & Eraserheads @ Zaphod Beeblebrox [May 5, 2012]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4247356_lg.jpg)
Besides the " Super Moon " that happened on May 5, 2012. There was a great show that took place at Zaphod Beeblebrox. Playing at the show: • Eight And A Half • The Gallop • Eraserheads I was excited since I heard the album from Eight And A Half and was curious [...]

The Limbos Three reasons to shout "everything's coming up Milhouse" and run over to Beat Kitchen tonight... 1. Chicago quartet The Limbos clearly worship at the altar of alternative rock. The band takes heavily from groups like Weezer and Pavement, which in turn were heavily influenced by the Pixies. The Limbos fashion a jolly good time out from tracks that feature obscured sing-talking, quirky lyrics along with thick basslines, rumbling guitars and even a trumpet. Why? Because, why not? The Limbos are the love child ska should [...]

December 27th is National Fruitcake Day . Some think today is all about eating any fruitcake given to you during the holidays. Others think it's about re-gifting the fruitcake to someone else. I personally suggest keeping the fruitcake in your freezer until next holiday season, then give it back to the same person who originally gave it to you. Eraserheads - Fruitcake Enjoy your New Year festivities.

Director of all things creepy and nonsensical David Lynch is back at it, but instead of a movie, his newest output is in the realm of music. It's a seven song album officially titled Fox Bat Strategy: A Tribute to Dave Jaurequi , and the first released song is streaming over at EW.com . The song's a bit unsettling, which makes sense even though the man himself isn't singing. (The singer is the Dave Jaurequi from the album's title, who has since passed away.) According to Lynch, "...I love that '50s feel of innocence and pain mingling." [...]

What happens when you mix the production of Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse with the visual genius of David Lynch? Well, unless you're a fan of bit torrent you'll probably never know. An audio/visual collaboration between the three masterminds (with a host of music guests: Flaming Lips, Shins, Julian Casablancas, Jason Lytle etc...) is sitting on the shelf at EMI caught up in "licensing issues," and will almost certainly never see the light of day. Because the project incorporated a 100 page hardback book of photos by David Lynch, the book and a blank CD-R (to put the stolen [...]
a glowing chernobyley testament to everything wonderful and pure about the lips. wonky, shonky, shoddy, shambolic, preposterous. in the giant, puppet-fisted hands of anyone else, this would be an ugly mess of selfinduglent dribble. with messrs drozd, coyne, salisbury and beesley it is still a mess but obviously a madly beautiful one. i'm not sure if a [...]

Isn’t it ironic that two of the most storied, long-delayed relics of present day rock and roll culture would both be delivered in the same month? Of course I speak of the Flaming Lips' Christmas On Mars film (which began production in 2001) and the new Guns N' Roses disc, Chinese Democracy , which apparently has been in the works since 1994. And isn’t it ironic as well, that they’re both available just in time for Christmas? Well I guess the Lips movie holds less irony in that department since it kinda is a Christmas [...]

Never heard of them before? Eraserheads , dubbed as "the only pinoy band that matters" is a household name in Philippines (even global) during 90's til this day. Their music is unclassifiable, they recklessly walk the crooked line between the underground and the mainstream with a mix of alternative, pop, rock and everything in-between, instantly familiar yet totally unheard of. The Eraserheads have gone from being the biggest "flukes" to being the biggest thing ever to happen to the Philippine music industry. They took their name from the title of a movie by David [...]

After a triumphant summer of festivals and four spectacular dates with R.E.M. , the perpetually inventive Guillemots return this Autumn with an ambitious national tour. Beautifully fusing film and music in sixteen of the of the UK's most intriguing alternative venues, November's 'Fishbone For A Drink' tour confirms Guillemots' reputation as pop's true trailblazers. As well as theatres and concert halls, the Brit and Mercury-nominated quartet will perform in a Cornish cave, Lancaster's main public library and a converted cinema right in the [...]
