Though many Jane's Addiction fans were likely saddened when Eric Avery quit the band this March, they'll at least have a preservation of his last U.S. show with Farrell and the boys. A new DVD/Blu-ray of the band's short set at New Orleans' Voodoo Experience last Halloween will hit store shelves on August 30th via Eagle Rock Entertainment. Despite some individual members' supreme awfulness over the years as well as the automatic lameness of the whole cash-cow reunion charade, I'm kind of intrigued to see the original line-up of Jane's Addiction play again. Lone hold-out Eric Avery had long said he had no interest in pursuing the past, but I guess he caved for the cash, as most eventually do.
