Stream Eternal Summers . “Correct Behavior” is out July 24th. I love this band!

We've already heard quite a bit of material from the new Eternal Summers LP Correct Behavior coming out on July 24th. We posted on awesome tune "Millions" awhile back and we've seen several other songs posted around the interwebs on various sites. As far as songs by this band go, I'm prepared to say that this one might just be my favorite yet. It's a driving rock number with an incredible pop sense about it. Hope you enjoy it as much as me. Eternal Summers Eternal Summers are one of my favorite bands for as much because I enjoy tweeting with them on Twitter as for their music. And they do make lovely music. They have a new album, Correct Behavior , out on July 24, 2012. You can listen to their new song on Rolling Stone, but I'm choosing to showcase their song "Half the Time" that was found on their 20011 73 The Mystic Fortress Sessions Vol. 1 . The Mystic Fortress Sessions Vol. 1 Split 7" by Eternal Summers [...]

Virginia's Eternal Summers are only a couple of weeks away from the release of their new album, Correct Behavior , due out July 24th via Kanine . After a couple of videos, the band is keeping the momentum going by giving away the track "Kill You." The 80s power-pop track would be the perfect compliment to any day out in the sun. Grab it below. MP3 : Eternal Summers - Kill You

Correct Behavior will see daylight shortly. Watch 'Wonder' here. Purchase Eternal Summers items via Insound. MP3: Eternal Summers - Kill You
Stereogum The sophomore album from Virginia's Eternal Summers, Correct Behavior , is set to be released in two weeks; we've already heard two tracks from the album (" Millions " and " Wonder ") and now the trio has dropped one more. "You Kill" is deliriously upbeat, C-86-ish pop full of chiming guitars with fat, fuzzy distortion and melodies that go on for … well, at least the rest of this summer. Download, press play, repeat step 2. [...]
This compilation is about a week late, and I apologize for that. The first week of July always tends to move quickly. But as I mentioned last month, it's an exciting time for Obscure Sound... despite the lack of regularity ...

Something for your Summer. It's Eternal Summers on Kanine Records .

Jason Frank Rothenberg It's a matter of public record - or at the very least Google index - that I was no fan of Dirty Projectors' last record Bitte Orca , even though objectively speaking it was obviously one of the albums of 2009. However, one of the nice things about a band as obviously talented - no way am I arguing that point - and creatively restless as they is that each new album is akin to a blank slate. So yeah, I'm giving their [...]
by teepoo All the NXNE posts are done, so finally back to regular posts! Since I haven't done a chart in a while, this one includes the most popular songs of the last few weeks. It also gave consideration to song plays within the NXNE posts. Hope you guys discover something new! Position Last Song Link 1 - Mother Mother- Forever and [...]

Eternal Summers - Millions Eternal Summers - You Kill What is it about solid-yet-melodic, girlie-girl-fronted power-pop that always gets us so goddamned hot and bothered? Eternal Summers does a really great job of catering to this weirdo fetish of ours, ya know? Jimmie says, "Awww... This is pretty cute," but I think that's just him being his normal sarcastic-as-fuck self (it is rather adorable, though)... To each his own, I guess, just don't miss 'em when they play with [...]

The streets of Williamsburg belonged to musicians, even more than normal, for the four days that the Northside Festival staked its ground. There was a constant bustle of badge-clad press agents, photographers, managers and agents in addition to guitarists toting their instruments and lead singers trailed by groupies. Booze was certainly also flowing freely. At Good Co. on Hope Street, Jameson hosted a party featuring their whiskey and McClure’s pickle juice. A young lady I met at the bar admitted, “I’m not even in the music industry, but all my friends are. And I wish I was.” [...]
Every summer needs a playlist. I usually make mine a week or so before Memorial day and update throughout the hot months. For me, the perfect playlist is a mix of power pop, punk, rock, alt country and electronic. My top summer song may be an anthem or a dance track. While it's not required that the word summer actually appears in a song, album or band name to mark the season, there's no shortage of references. Dana Buoy beat almost everyone to the beach this year with the May release of Summer Bodies , a rollicking [...]

by teepoo Although this blog mainly focuses on Canadian music, I follow a great number of bloggers around the world on Twitter and that's how I found out about Virginia's Eternal Summers. The adorable little Nicole Yun who fronts the band has some Canadian connections as she is a relative of actress Sandra Oh. The band looks a bit funny at first on stage with cute little Nicole backed by some grungey looking dudes. They played some tunes that sounded very the Cure inspired and totally rocked the [...]
