San Francisco's Eux Autres (pronounced OOZ-OH-TRA) are brother and sister Heather and Nicholas Larimer, with drummer Yoshi Nakamoto (of The Aislers Set, Still Flyin'). Writing smart, infectious garage-pop, the band are gearing up to release their album Sun Is Sunk (out feb 28th on Bon Mots Records). I have followed this band (two members are brother and sister) since I saw them open-up for some act here in San Diego. I just adore everything they produce and have high hopes for their success. This track is particularly good, and a very nice introduction to their sound for new listeners. When I saw them live, Heather was singing and playing drums at the same time... that was impressive. Eux Autres are a loud, indie-rocking trio (Heather, Nicholas, Yoshi) from Portland, Oregan who are very influenced by French ye-ye. Their new album Broken Bow is just out, and features one great French track, Jamais. On earlier albums, they did a wonderful version of the Salut les Copains-theme, among other French songs.
