It seems entirely appropriate to post today about Oxford's The Dreaming Spires - formed as they are by Truck Festival founders Robin and Joe Bennett. The band have already been getting critical acclaim for their debut single Everything All The Time , which is officially released on Monday. They are headlining Truck tomorrow night in what will inevitably be a legendary performance. We will be there. So while we're looking forward to that, check their website here and have a listen to the rousing anthemic single below, taking in the heady vibe [...]

The band bursts fresh out of the box with an enviable musical pedigree. [...]

Believe it or not, there are blogs out there that surpass Chubby. Toomanysebastians.net is one of those blogs. I check their site everyday, as they continually dish out some of the best remixes the internet has to offer. Many no namers, up and comers, and undergrounders are contained within the digital walls of this site. Enough about Sebastian, this cut is straight fire. Excellent vocals, bumpy bassline, and just about everything else that makes a good remix is thoroughly present. By the way, Charlie Darker is only 18 years old - damn. Cheers. -lev [...]

Photography by S tefa Zozokovich We live in crazy times. While in one hand, it seems like slooowly but surrrrely the world is moving forward, racism, sexism, homophobia, and just intolerance in all shapes & sizes that we've been, hell, raised to believe in are going away, in the other hand, it's worse than it's ever been. There are infinite examples of the good & bad of today, but thanks to a tweet by our beloved Stars from Montreal , pictured here feeling more jovial... [...]

Frank Yang Big-voiced frontwomen. Loads of synths. No guitars. This Saturday night at the Horseshoe will come two examples of how differently that same musical recipe can come out. On one hand, you've got Everything All The Time , led by Alanna Stuart, and their breezy, vintage-y feel-good synth-pop. On the other, the decidedly heavier and darker Lioness , who back Vanessa Fischer with sounds and attitude befitting their disco-punk roots. And rounding things out is Halifax's Rich Aucoin , whose keyboard-first, big orchestral dance-pop actually fits quite nicely [...]

December 4th, the Toronto band Everything All The Time made their Ottawa debut with a splash. (Mostly because the pipes from the ceiling was leaking uncontrollably) Also there were bands that opened up for them who were: The City Above Geoffrey The Giant Everything All The Time was the band I was most excited to see. Mostly because there have been [...]

Supergroup . Perhaps you've noticed, but that word is getting thrown around on a pretty regular basis these days on the musical interwebs. Perhaps a little too much. But one can understand why, as pretty much everyone who is attempting to play music for a living these days, indie and otherwise, plays in multiple bands. You can't blame them - playing shows is the lifeblood of a musician these days, and so, the more bands you're a part of, the more shows you can play. Smart business really, to say nothing of other factors like [...]

Norman Wong Even though he coined it himself, I often wonder if Joel Gibb regrets encouraging the use of "gay church folk music" as a description for the music of The Hidden Cameras . Certainly they got a lot of mileage out of it in the band's earlier days, as it was both attention grabbing and accurate, but now, four albums in, it probably deserves to be retired. It's not that it's no longer descriptive - Gibb is still gay (one assumes), it's still music and it's still built on foundations of folk and church traditions [...]

(photo: Laurie Kang) I've been kind of obsessed with some "big sounding" music lately, thanks in no small part to my continued infatuation with the TV show Glee . I thought that-based on descriptors alone-Toronto's Everything All The Time would kind of sound like a school choir (quartet of vocal harmonies, cramming everything but the kitchen sink in, blah blah blah) but truthfully, this tight 6 piece pop-outfit is anything but blah blah blah. The band has individually busted their chops supporting everyone from Feist and Sarah [...]

Everything All The TimeThe Toronto indie dance band are catchy, if maybe a little too much on the pop side. They hold the CD release party for their new EP at The Drake in Toronto on October 23rd.Everything All The Time's MyspaceSupermassive QuazarSupermassive Quazar is the project of Montreal-based rocker Dominic Lamarre. The new album PULzE is a collection of indie rockers and power pop
Terror Tone is a new producer we've come across out of Toronto. He's got a new EP coming out soon on Intelligenix Records (always a good sign) so if the following floats your boat you can start spending your hard-earned dollar on this young man. First track is a remix of a band (we've never heard [...]

Wow I just checked out this band called Everything All the Time or EATT as they might be called for short form. A six piece band from Toronto that blends pop, dance music and indie rock into one. So far listening to this EP. I am loving the music they play on here. Fun, upbeat and dancey. They remind me of another band which is Think About Life but mostly with a female singer. Its like that band and Thunderheist mixed together and having more members. Hoping they would [...]
