New interview on DOA features the latest addition to dBridge 's Exit Records, Consequence . If you've not heard it yet, go grab Live For Never , his debut album. It's the truth. fonik posted his ESP Promo Mix ; check that out now!

The lead single from Atlanta's Tealights debut EP, Take us by Sea - due out tomorrow - is not what you'd immediately expect from the deep south of America. They're lazy stereotypes, but when I think of Georgia I imagine primal, sweaty blues rock, or swaggering , bass-heavy Hip Hop. This EP is neither of those things, as you would imagine with a name like 'Tealights'. As a single, Exit acts as a perfect manifesto for the groups sound. Having heard the whole record (It's good) it's one of the strongest songs and showcases [...]
dBridge - Memory Park by dBridge Take from Layer:06 of The Autonomic Podcasts. Epic sounds.
(not taken from Exit but from SW4, 09) Despite being recorded live, and with the occasional override from the crowd, this set from 2 of the techno dons of the scene is full on and pure brilliance. No track list, so if anyone has got one pls comment. Turn this up loud. Watch out for the heavy drops a quarer of the way through... Bluuup! Richie Hawtin & Dubfire @ Exit Festival '09

These were all in my inbox like little presents. Really like this Adam & Darcie track. Very hushed, kinda Belle & Sebastian / Shins type song. That's probably a really bad description, but you get the idea. They're signed to Indiecator records and they keep sending me lovely promos. Thank you very much. Last weekend I had the opportunity to visit the 10th EXIT Festival in Novi Sad, Serbia. The 4-day-event takes place in a extraordinary location: uncountable stages are put in or in-between the walls of a giant fortress built in the long-long-ago. With many slots to fill, the line up has its bald patches. But if you find one of your favorites playing, the festival (and Serbia in general) is well worth a visit. . Although the DJ line up really had some strong shows (Fake Blood [UK], [...]
Wow, where do I begin? The Serb's are Mental! The Fortress where Exit has been based for the last 10 years has to be the best naturally designed venue for a festival i've ever been to. Each stage is set below in a gigantic mote that runs around the fort, and each stage has to be seen to be believed! Every morning around 5am the sun would come up and the crowd would go mental. It's an unbelievable fortress that would make scaling the walls of Helms Deep childsplay stuff!. A man actually died [...]

Good morning, waveriders, time for another of my favorite columns, our regular Ripple Round Up of some of the mounds of singles that wander on in through the Ripple doors. Today, however, we're going to do something a little different; we're going to keep the turntable turned off. Instead, we're going to dip into the growing stack of CD singles piled up so high on the Ripple desk, they seem to defy gravity. Let's see what a little digging uncovers. Red Summer Sun [...]

Now that we just raved about The Exits debut single 'Neon City' these fine electro-rockers are jumping back into the studio to record their highly anticipated second single. Set to be a double A-side, it will feature a previously un-released version of 'You Gotta Help Me Out' and summer anthem 'Trip'. This news comes as the band has just been added to Groundwaves FM playlist (Virginia USA) with debut single 'Neon City' which has also received extensive airplay and rave reviews. Exits mix of energetic synth rock, has caught the attention [...]

My posts on politics have been sparse lately, mostly after Obama's inauguration. That is not because of a disinterest in the subject, but because the seeds are still being watered by this incumbent, per se. My support of Obama has left me with high hopes that are almost impossible to accomplish. To expect such fast and drastic change after 8 years of shit-throwing is unreasonable. The economy, I am told, has gone to the dumps in this post-Bush era we live in. All this talk of recession and crisis seems, to me, like a big figureheads way of trying to [...]

Shugo Tokumaru - "Green Rain" - mp3 Japanese Artist Shugo Tokumaru's new record Exit (Columbia) has been getting a ton of play here as of late. Shugo is a truly remarkable musician playing most of the 50 instruments you hear on Exit . Oh yeah, he's never taken a lesson except on piano, of which there is very little on the record. Tokumaru's songs play out like festive Sufjan Stevens orchestral romps, complete with glockenspiel, banjo and rollicking tempos. These highly melodic tunes seem to lock into your brain and remain for the [...]
