I brani in questione sono: Empire State Of Mind - Jay-Z & [...]
![[MP3] PATRICK STUMP is about to be in the SPOTLIGHT](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3073587_lg.jpg)
depression is a little bit like happy hour, right, it's always gotta be happening somewhere on any given night ♫ Patrick Stump - Spotlight (oh nostalgia) If you ever managed to get over yourself long enough to enjoy the power-pop perfection that is Fall Out Boy then you know Patrick Stump well. He is the voice and the music behind fame-hungry Pete Wentz and has just ventured out on a solo project that will see his Soul Punk LP drop early next year. "Spotlight" is his first single and [...]
Less than 10 days until the big holiday is here and then gone. Is all your shopping done? Are all your Christmas cookies made? Don't worry, we're not close to being ready either. Despite all the preparations this year, it just sorta snuck up on us. It's the routine that we all get stuck in. Sometimes you just gotta rock out to some killer Christmas music. Listen to the songs below or to the songs from Day 1 , Day 2 , Day 3 , Day 4 , Day 5 , Day 6 [...]
I think I've made it pretty clear that thus far, The Damned Things bore me to tears, despite being both an Anthrax fan and an Every Time I Die fan. But I was holding out hope that when I heard their debut, Ironiclast, in its entirety, my mind would be changed. That there would be [...]
Okay so I think Fall Out Boy is pretty lame, but Every Time I Die is anything but, and this is for a very good cause, so I think we should all just make like the Germans and the British at Christmas in 1914 and play nice for the sake of making the world a [...]
"BIG PANTS WASTE PRECIOUS FABRIC" Step into my Nocturnus time machine and take a magical journey with me into a time long, long ago, an excursion into a world that scarcely resembles our own. In this world - we'll call it Moshtopia - hardcore kids are known for wearing giant, baggy pants, not skinny jeans; [...]
Next year's early contribution to drunk driving accidents and teen pregnancy will come in the form of a headlining tour from Buckcherry, with support in the form of All That Remains (Making their conversion from metal to radio rock official - eat that, Atreyu!), Hellyeah, and The Damned Things. I know that Vince is a [...]

Patrick Stump (vocalist for Fall Out Boy) has a solo single called "Spotlight". He has two versions of the song (both excellent, if I may say) and would like you, the Sell the Lie reader, to decide which is the more worthy of appearing on his upcoming, very aptly-named solo album Soul Punk . So your responsibility, dear reader, is to proceed to Patrick's website and listen to each, taking careful notes on the merits of each version, and cast your vote. You can also download both versions if you have one of [...]
Yes, I know it's goofy. No, I don't love the song. But it was directed by Brendon Small, and it seems like these dudes were all having a lot of fun when they made it, and I found myself grinning as I watched. So, like, blow me, okay? The Damned Things' debut, Ironiclast, comes out [...]
So the question was put to fans by Patrick Stump-which version of his solo single, Spotlight, do you prefer? There is the New Regrets version and there is the Oh Nostalgia version. He says he doesn't know which he prefers. I don't know if I believe that. There's no doubt that it's a bit of [...]
Two years after Fall Out Boy released their last(final?) hit single, lead singer Patrick Stump has released two versions of the first single from his solo album, currently slated for a February 2011 release. Stump's official website currently holds two versions of "Spotlight", one subtitled "New Regrets" and the other "Oh Nostalgia". The site offers free mp3s of both tracks (after jumping through multiple hoops on Facebook) and an opportunity for fans to vote on which they prefer. Listen to both versions of the song below. Patrick Stump - Spotlight (New Regrets) [...]
The members of what used to be Fall Out Boy have scattered in all directions since the band's demise hiatus . Joseph Trohman and Andy Hurley have formed heavy metal band The Damned Things with members of Anthrax and Pete Wentz is busy... being Pete Wentz. As for frontman Patrick Stump? He's following in the footsteps of guys like Julian Casablancas and Brandon Flowers and embarking on a solo project, with his debut album, Soul Punk , set to drop February 2011. Stump originally announced the album way [...]

So you guys should all know by now that I have a penchant for anything with dramatic and epic sounding vocals, and though I can't say I have ever listened to Fall Out Boy before, I am pretty hooked on this song. It's an old tune that I seem to have overlooked, released some time mid way through last year, but it has aged reasonably well imo, and is most definitely a sound much imitated in the genre over the last year! Mightyfools on Soundcloud Tommie Sunhine on Soundcloud [...]
Jimmy Eat World delivers some "sweetness" and punchy hooks on its seventh album. But does it rank high beside its best works from 1999 and 2001?
I can see that The Damned Things are gonna be the next point of contention here at the MetalSucks Mansion. Vince likes 'em, but they just sound like more more boring corporate rock to my ears. And a new track streaming on the band's Facebook page, "Friday Night (Going Down In Flames)," isn't doing much [...]
Seems like everyone's getting in on this supergroup thing nowadays, with new ones popping up every day. Pete Wentz may be off doing his thing , but Fall Out Boy guitarist Joe Trohman got there first - it just took him a bit longer to release a song. At last, he and Scott Ian of Anthrax have released the first listen of their new metal supergroup, The Damned Things . Okay, FOB doing metal doesn't quite sound right, but add in Ian's Anthrax bandmate guitarist Rob Caggiano, and vocalist Keith Buckley from Every Time [...]

In case you haven't heard yet, members of Anthrax, Every Time I Die and Fall Out Boy have come together to form The Damned Things. ETID's Keith Buckley is joined by FOB's Joe Trohan and Andy Hurley and Anthrax's Scott Ian and Rob Caggiano. With this line-up, you can somewhat accurately guess what the band sounds like: a mix of pop-punk and southern-fried metallic hardcore sprinkled with some nu-metal thrash. First single " We've Got A Situation Here " sums up the band rather nicely, moreso than the demo version of "Ironiclast" that has been on [...]

OMFGz!!!! Members of Anthrax and Every Time I Die are sullying their cred by palling around with dudes from Fall Out Boy!!! What ever will we do?!?! Listen to the new track "We've Got a Situation Here," of course, which is not nearly the catastrophe all the readers who sent us outraged emails when The [...]
Pete Wentz, formerly? of emo gods Fall Out Boy, has himself a new band. They're called Black Cards and they just debuted their first song, "Club Called Heaven", which happens to feature Philly hip hop outfit Chiddy Bang. You can stream it alongside a short silent film on blackcardsmusic.com . Black Cards, which consists of Wentz, Spencer Peterson on drums, Nate Patterson on lead guitar, and Bebe Rexha on lead vocals, plan to release their debut full-length next year. In the meantime, they have three US dates scheduled before heading to the UK for five [...]
