One of the true greats passed away this month: Clarence Clemons, a legend to every Springsteen fan. There are many things which made the E Street Band's sound so unique, but the key ingredients, in my view, were Roy Bittan's keyboards and Clemons' sax. It is on Clemons' shoulder on which Springseen leans on the Born To Run cover, literally and symbolically (and imagine the title track without that orgasmic saxophone build-up). According to a post today on Farley Jackmaster Funk's Facebook page , veteran house vocalist Daryl Pandy has died. Farley Jackmaster Funk wrote: "Our Brother In The LORD And My Lil Brother And Friend & Artist Darryl Pandy Has Went Home To The LORD To Sing In GOD'S Heavenly Choir. iLove You Darryl As iHave Told You Over & Over Again... Not much to say here and I don't have a tracklist but these are both excellent early house mixes in decent quality sound. One side is Armando (also referred to as Land of Confusion Capital One) and is quite intense amazing analog sounding acid. The Farley set is more fun but not necessarily as good quality sound.
