The forth and final retrospective post looking at the life of 2UIBestow focuses on 2011 which I'd consider the best year for the blog. It had regular 'Amhrán Gach Lá' posts which means music every day in Irish and the profile incresed to the point where viewer figures reached a daily figure of a 1000. Last year I got to Glastonbury due to my involvment in judging for Glastonbury's Emerging Talent Competition and it was awesome. Favourite Sons are (finally) returning with a new album, The Great Deal Of Love on May 27th. Lead singer/songwriter Ken Griffin formed the band with members of Philly's Aspera in the early Oughts. The new album is a gorgeous collection of songs filled with richness, wonderful instrumentation and Griffin's near Nick Cave delivery. Mostly the album reminds me of The Waterboys in their day. Which ain't a bad thing.
