Transparent today revealed "19813 by Newcastle outfit Fax Machine, a what a pleasure to listen too. After starting like something from the Black Keys, a fuzzy bass seems to put the track on to a rather different tone. And every turn of the track seems to be a semi-drastic one, it's as if the sound they've gone for is deliberately the sound of not knowing what sound they are, and it works. Just had our attention diverted in the direction of this strange, sweet little pop song courtesy of Newcastle's Fax Machine . The zoned-out, languid vocals wander through a weird, bipolar, shape-shifting patchwork of a melody on introductory track "1981".
