Teenage Bad Girl is French duo Guillaume Manbell and Greg Kazubski. Some say they are a genetic mix of Daft Punk , Aphex twin and The Stooges . They are part of the new french electro scene, together with Justice, Para One and a few others. They released the 12 inch "Hands of a Stranger" in 2006, and also did a remix of Scissor Sisters song "I don't feel like dancing". In March 2007 they released their first album "Cocotte" on Citizen Records; the cd album includes 14 tracks and also two remixes [...]

Verve Records is a long standing record label with its origins dating back to 1956 when Norman Granz amalgamated Norgran Records and Clef Records. The label was host to many of the great artists in Jazz & Blues including Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and Nina Simone. Now, as a part of Universal , Verve Records has invited talented producers and musicians to revitalize its catalog by remixing their classic tracks and re-releasing them as a series of albums called The Verve Remixed. Volume 4 was released last May. To celebrate this union of [...]

Update: The Lemur is turning 17 tomorrow- Blogstars have put together another completely original mixtape to celebrate the event. Make sure you take a visit, comment, and most of all say Happy Bday to the furry dude. The Lemur Blog Yay! I'm 18 today (26th July)! How exciting! The plan for the day was wake up (after a late BBQ last night with some frivolity), take a run, have brunch, open a few pressies/cards and then go to see The Dark Knight. The evening was be topped [...]

daciangroza A great remix by Van She of Das Pop . Justice actually used this original track in their rejected Fabric Mix, though I totally thought it was a song from the 70's. This club mix of Das Pop definitely keeps the integrity of the original track but makes it so much better, good job Van She. Rather the more electro track out of the three today. Second is the Keenhouse remix of Division Kent . I've posted both artists before actually, so definitely [...]

Chicago's disco visionary Felix Da Housecat has mapped out his summer break plans. While some choose a trip to the local amusement park, an escape to the beach, or maybe even a road trip to visit the cousins, Felix was thinking on more of a global scale. The man behind revolutionary underground dancefloor hits, Felix has set out on a complex itinerary spanning over 30 worldly destinations. Party hopping from club to club, Felix is setting out to make sure the summer of '08 is one to remember! [...]

Shinichi Osawa is a great producer and DJ out of Tokyo Japan, currently signed to the Japanese label Avex Trax. Most of this stuff comes from LA and France so its always nice to hear it from somewhere different. His songs have been remixed by the likes of Lies in Disguise and has remixed heavy hitters like Felix da Housecat. A couple of original tracks below as well as the Felix da Housecat remix. Shinichi Osawa - Electro411 Shinichi Osawa - Star Guitar [...]
Salme Dahlstrom Electronica / Powerpop / Rock From: New York, United States According to her informative website Swedish born Salme Dhahlstrom shares the Devil's star sign. Like me she is a Taurean which means, if you believe in astrology, that she is patient, reliable, warmhearted and loving but can also be jealous and possessive, resentful, inflexible and persistent. [...]

A last minute decision saw Pelski hurriedly packing a bag for the second day of the Gatecrasher festival. Both days collectively, without a doubt, provided the best line-up any festival offered this year (given the truly rubbish line-up of Glastonbury, while Global's and Creamfields' don't exactly stand out). Saturday boasted the likes of: Prodigy, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, The WHip Digitalism, Annnie Mac, The Count and Sinden, Switch, Bloc Party Djs, Crookers, Black Ghosts, Hijack Dj Mehdi, Busy P, Feadz (and...ahem...Uffie) [...]
Last Thursday, Flufftronix was in town spinning over at Debonair for their esteemed Fly By Night parties that they throw, and in the midst of his set was this little gem that I've never gotten around to posting. It's the "NY Excuse" classic by Soulwax, reworked with the "Funky Town" beat behind it and labeled [...]

Original title huh? Thought of it all myself, no big deal. But yea... just to remind y'alls, Felix da Housecat will be gracing Chicago once again this Wednesday at Debonair Social Club . The second coming of Chicago House released a new album last year by the title Virgo Blaktro and the Movie Disco (which is already on its 3rd single, "Radio"). He's even dropped his first dealings with Global Underground in GU34 Milan . Def check out what you can of him. I posted a few new tracks and [...]

Felix da Housecat's new single 'Radio' is so smooth, it puts buttered ice to shame. Nothing sounds sweeter than a girl who whispers "Turn me on." Can't live without my radio, radio. The single comes off last year's "Virgo Blaktro and the Movie Disco." You can pick 'er up on Beatport . Felix da Housecat - Radio Felix da Housecat - Like Something 4 Porno (Kris Menace Remix) The video for 'Radio' was shot in Mexico City, Mexico [...]

MARCH 26, 2008 Captured by VDRK "Overflow" is a list of music that I have found. Some songs are good, some are not, but I'll leave that descision to you, Enjoy! Daft Punk - Aerodynamic Motions [...]
Why the hell did no one tell me about this! Can't complain really. I guess I'm the blogger here (excuse my arrogance, but I really know what's best). Felix Da Housecat of Silver Screen Shower Scene fame has had his recent single Radio given the once over by both postfunkers, The Infadels , and y'man from Tokyo, Shinichi Osawa . Both version do it for me but I was stuck on a desert island with one (ah desert islands, the international rating system), I'd have to pun for Shinichi's [...]
Parisian electronic music diva, Miss Kittin , will release her second solo record titled 'BatBox' on the Nobody's Bizzness label early this year. This anticipated record follows her 2004 solo debut, 'I COM'. Miss Kittin has always had a gothic touch and 'Batbox' might be the darkest record yet, but the record still has a surprising undercurrent of optimism. The artist explains 'Batbox' like this: BatBox is a redemption. Let the bats in my head fly out. I was saying goodbye to old ghosts, allowing light to reduce the shadows and fight the [...]

As 2007 draws to a close, I give you my first "best of 2007" list. Here are my ten picks for the best club tracks of 2007, in order below. All of these selections would be perfect for ringing in 2008 in style. The rule with this and my other upcoming "best of" lists is that artists can't be repeated on the same list, so any deserving tracks are listed alongside the top pick by that artist. Let me know if I've ignored any of your favorites and hopefully I can feature them sometime soon. 1. [...]
