Originally soaked up at SomaCow.com In this hour of post-flooding, the guys welcomed Felix from Prime Time Geek into the studios. All 5 of them talked about the flooding our our brand new Studio G. Seems maybe stuff went down the drain that shouldn't and so it didn't like my washing machine dumping all that water so it spit it back up. The also talked about: Mickey and Ross deserting the Sunday show for the NASA Tweetup Insinkerator Fail [...]

Always In Goodform I dedicate this post to my friend Rob V who always seems to be operating at a higher frequency or wavelength than the rest of us. Whenever I see him rubbing his hands together a la' Mister Miyagi before a dj set I know were in for some scintillating disco. So this is my homage set in the spirit of winnipeg's Rob V. I have new and old on here (mostly old actually) but its a round set that would be perfect for luncheons, pre cocktails, [...]

The Greenpoint resident is best known for her graphic short stories and comic diaries: Lucky and Cecil and Jordan in New York . The title story in Cecil and Jordan, was adapted into the film Tokyo! Felix - "Death To Everyone But Us" Lucinda Chua's vocal performance on "Death To Everyone But Us" brings to mind the anxious cadences of Life Without Buildings singer Sue Tompkins, but she's far less exuberant and much more taciturn, coming across rather like someone trying to spit out everything she needs to say as quickly as possible to keep herself from holding back or getting interrupted. I picture her eyes darting around the room, briefly fixing on every odd detail but never making eye contact. Even still, she's trying to tell you something important - she's mad [...]

This comes interestingly close and after "Better Than Prince" by Flairs . It's not their best work and the beats sound outdated. But, the concept is cute, to say the least. Their peak was with the remix of Nina Simone's "Sinnerman." Posted in Beats, Clip Tagged: all, be, da, download, felix, flairs, housecat, new, prince, track, wanna, we

So this post features a couple of tracks that I used to play years back when DJing. It depended on my mood, really, as I liked to bounce around between genres. The first cut is by the pretty much unknown group Adult. I actually saw these guys live before they really became "in" with the whole electro crowd. Not bad, if I remember right. This song got them quite a bit of play, and resulted in a good Carl Craig remix of this track. I'll even post that remix, also, as a little gift. So here's Adult.'s [...]

Rynecologist's Still Thinking Mixtape has garnered a lot of attention. As one of Toronto's rising superstars, he is more than just another DJ. His production has a unique sound that has certainly attracted a lot of love across the world. Wednesday he opened for the Busy P show at Wrongbar and did a phenomenal job. Earlier that day he got matching tattoos with Pedro, a Canadian flag on each of their biceps. Its kind of cool because while the matching tattoo makes a lot of sense for Ryne, seeing as he is Canadian, its pretty badass that Busy [...]
So this week it's finally nice outside, so I've been doing nothing but fucking around. Boston weather is messed up, so a nice day of mid 70's can't be wasted. So I thought of an old remix that Jacques Lu Cont - otherwise known as The Thin White Duke - had done for Felix Da Housecat a few years back, so it made me curious about other stuff he had done. So here are three of his remixes. Two of which I do like, the other I find horrid, but eh, you all can choose if you like it or [...]
Nice Nicky Siano production from 1984, pretty hypnotic. Also used in Chow Daddy's (who ever that is) "Bad Little Kitten". Felix - Tigerstripes (320K) (zShare)
Julia Holter - Fur Felix Download here Co-founder of art organization and record label Human Ear Music in LA. Mesmerizing stuff.

SomaCow Media is proud to present SomaCow , brought to you in this hour by PrimetimeGeek.com - Felix is purported to have sped across the convention center, nabbing interviews and swag aplenty of the recent Orlando FX con, so, all you connie types, Con Up. In this hour, we celebrated two years of phenomenal, swollen, and delicious podcasting. I did not know back then what the show would evolve into, but I like where it is going. One of our listeners has recently decided [...]
So initially, I was really wanting to post this Diplo cut I heard recently. I mean, this shit is just brilliant. However, since I've maintained some semblance of contact with his people, I wanted to give a heads up and get an OK. Well, the track "Smash A Kangaroo", it turns out, is actually on an album where the profits go to help give music-education to underprivileged indigenous kids in Australia. Here's what turntable lab has to say about the cut: Earlier this year while touring in Australia, Diplo got the chance [...]

SomaCow Media is proud to present SomaCow , brought to you in this hour by one of F elix's irate students (I think). That's probably not true, but what the hell, there it is. We round out our third and final hour with Felix of Prime Time Geek with a bit of J. A whole lot of J. In fact, if you like J, this might be the hour for you to listen to, because Mickey and I don't talk over him for [...]
