Sluggo(Atmosphere) and Murs are back at it again for Felt 3. What we do know is that Aesop Rock is the producer. What we don't know is who the record is a tribute to. So far the albums have been dedicated to Christina Ricci and Lisa Bonet. Clues should be coming soon. Along with more music. Felt (Slug + Murs) - Protagonists Pigeons and Planes

From Rhymesayers : "This producer once attended a New York City movie premiere with this leading lady." Let the games begin! Any new guesses people?
I'm not gonna lie, this silent semi-anti-climactic promo got me excited for reals.. Felt - Hot Bars [audio: http://mp3muffin.com/train/hot bars.mp3] I definitely think 'A Tribute to Train' would be a more than appropriate title, but I'm guessing they're going to go in a different direction than that - look for clues this week.... All my true Hip Hop Heads out there know who Felt is. The duo of Murs and Slug of Atmosphere have dropped the albums Felt: A Tribute To Christina Ricci and Felt 2: A Tribute To Lisa Bonet. This installation of the series supposedly adds a new member to Felt. Who the album will be in tribute too is unknown. More details are supposed to be revealed this week. Well this speaks for it self. More clues to come about the album title and which producer the duo will be working with. Felt 2 is easily one of my favorite hip-hop albums ever. This is already my favorite album of 2009/10.

Shouts to Jakemoney . Who do you guys want to see on the boards? Posted in Media, Video Tagged: Felt, Felt 3, Murs, Slug

Some fresh designer by the name of Dror Benshetrit has decided to ditch conventional materials and start using felt as a replacement to cotton or whatever your sofa has in it. The result is this - the peacock chair. A chair invented to comfort and to dazzle. And if you get it early, it could be a conversational piece, too. It molds and shifts to fit your contours while still looking like the modern masterpiece that it is. Felt is made up of Slug and Murs. Felt is awesome. I would try ot describe Felt and their albums but I think this quote off of one of their sites says it best - "So really, what the hell is FELT? FELT is a musical collaboration with the long-term goal of having sex with b-level Hollywood actresses. This record is not for the love of Hip Hop. The album is not to prove whose city has a better-implemented smoking ban. It's solely a vehicle for rappers to have celebrity sex." [...]

On being asked if I'd like to write a short article about my favourite album of all time I immediately knew that it was Marquee Moon by Television. Then the problems started… Marquee Moon already tops the 'top 100' albums lists in various middle of the road music media across the world every year… we all know it's amazing and no amount of gushing on my part will make that any more true. So then I realised that the whole 'favourite album' conundrum could run in several directions (don't let it ever be said [...]
Felt from Anchor and Braille is the unexpectedly intriguing new project from Steven Christian, the singer and co-founder of Florida alt-rockers Anberlin. Underway for over two years with collaborator and producer Aaron Marsh (Copeland), what began as a joint project with Marsh has turned into a primarily solo outing for Christian, allowing a more pop-sounding and less formualic structure to the album's wide ranging song repertoire. Self-described as akin to "exploring a musem at night with the lights off", Felt 's eleven tracks of "heartache and regret" simply feel like songs that have a special meaning [...]

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars Occasionally, you come across a group that is reminiscent of everything you truly love. Clever lyrics, jangly guitars, smooth vocals; all joining in unison in order to craft that perfect pop song. Cats on Fire have constructed 10 such songs with their second album Our Temperance Movement. Consider us lucky that Matinee Recordings was able to put out this album by the Finnish quartet. Immediately upon pressing play, you will more than likely realize that the [...]
(Diversions, a new feature on Aquarium Drunkard, catches up with our favorite artists as they wax on subjects other than recording and performing.) Steeped heavily in the sounds of the last four decades of the golden coast, I was both surprised and thrilled when Parson Redheads principle singer/songwriter Evan Way suggested he compile a Diversions [...]
