Minnesota's already been up on our site a bunch of times before, and for good reasons. Besides being really talented, he also gives out all his music for free which is nice. Feeling this remix he put out recently.

Christian Bauhofer, better known as Minnesota , is back with yet another beautiful freebee. This time, he's taken London based Fenech-Soler's song and remixed it in a way that we've come to expect from Christian. His synths are absolutely huge, yet maintain a calm, relaxing pace which create a melodically euphoric experience. Make sure to head over the Minnesota's facebook page . He gives away tracks regularly, and we haven't been disappointed yet. Fenech Soler - Demons (Minnesota Remix) Download audio file (demons-minnesota-remix-free.m p3)

When you're hunting around the edges for very new music you come across a lot of utter crap. That's the price we pay for setting ourselves up as your filtering service. Please don't think that we come across bands this awesome every time we look, we don't, it takes an eye-wateringly long time to wade through the myriad of bullshit pretenders before we stumble upon diamonds cut this way. And this is truly one of those diamond finds. You're going to love them. Your friends are going to love them. NME is going to slap them all over their radar [...]
I've had this track up in the iTunes for awhile but didn't realize we hadn't posted it on BGB yet. Alex Metric puts together another great remix on this one, his remix to Bloc Party's "One More Chance" was pretty solid too (link) . Click here to check some more of his remixes on soundcloud. Straddling the fence with musical styles can be a smashing success… or simply make your crotch tired. Luckily for Monarchy, a British duo currently signed to Mercury Records UK, their blending of genres works in spades. The group is infectious, melodic, lyrically interesting – and most importantly for their niche – totally danceable. The men

i feel the heat you give baby, i never want to say farewell, oh ♫ Fenech-Soler - Golden Sun For some reason I've never paid attention to Fenech-Soler, so little attention that I thought their name was French -Soler until 3 days ago. Oops. Hearing "Golden Sun" has had me completely reconsider my uneducated view on these non-Frenchie from Kings Cliffe, UK who named themselves after the 2nd and 3rd names of frontman Daniel Fenech Soler. But enough of that crap! This track is a jam and should be treated appropriately. I'm all [...]

They say absence makes the heart grow fonder - certainly it seems to have worked for Fenech-Soler , whose splendid return to the live scene was heralded by an uproarious welcome by a capacity crowd at Newcastle's O2 Academy last Friday night. Whilst the memories of summer are fading, foliage turning autumnal reds and oranges, in the world of Fenech-Soler it's forever the height of summer; a permanent Balearic party. Frontman and focus Ben Duffy's seemingly boundless energy and enthusiasm are lapped up by the up-for-it crowd; the 9pm start of this early [...]
Fenech-Soler have had quite a manic year, in part owing to lead singer Ben Duffy's cancer diagnosis and the rerouting of some early 2011 dates to this month. But the band played 28 - 28?!? - festivals this summer and we're very pleased that Ben was able to take time out of his busy schedule to answer some of our burning questions. I ask him about their synth gear, if there's a Fenech-Soler clothing line up ahead and more. I was also extremely selfish and asked about a possible special dance under certain circumstances, [...]
Ben Duffy, the frontman for electropop band from Kings Cliffe Fenech-Soler , did double duty for us here at TGTF. Not only did he answer our Quickfire Questions , he also gave us some further moments of his time to answer some more queries of the soul-searching variety. His answers to the Quickfires are below - bet you didn't know that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, or that his preferred vocation was doing something high up in the sky, did you? - and stay tuned, the rest of our [...]
just before we prep our dinner we're having a disco dance via the FENECH-SOLER 's newest GOLDEN SUN video which features a certain type of persons dancing in a photobooth on a night out. as you do. wotyougot
Up at the top you can enjoy the new video from Fenech-Soler for their catchy track "Golden Sun". The video is centred around photo-booth which entices people from all walks of life into the magical box of mystery. Everything from a Wolf wearing trick or treat style outfit to a full on gimp mask wearing guy step into the booth. From candid badly timed photographs to feel good dancing. This photo-booth looks like a fun night out.

After answering the previous week's call from Kendal Calling, it is on to Big Chill for team Cougar Microbes' next stop off in a marathon of summer festivals. Right from the off this is the friendliest I have encountered yet. Stewards wish you a jolly good knees-up. Caterers willingly smile without gritting their teeth. Furthermore [...]
Sometimes I stumble on tracks that shouldn't be given away for free. In fact, they should be charging an extra 15% for the joy they promise to embark upon your life. Sam Padrul, a name you may not know, but a name you will remember when I'm done with you. He hails from Chicago, where [...]

Just as magma waits with unending raw power, just under the surface of our worldy lives, the tour de force that Emma Panas and Duncan McDougall are bringing to the industry is building with such force it's easy to see them being the one to watch for 2012. Watching one of their first ever live gigs back at Offset festival 2010, as I watched Duncan work mysterious magic with his fingers dancing over the keys, and Emma's voice crystal clear and pin sharp, my heart jumped realising these two, whilst very fresh and new to the music world, were destined [...]

The third single from Ghostpoet's Mercury Prize nominated album Peanut Butter Blues & Melancholy Jam is out now. The video, directed by Nicholas Bentley, (previous worked includes Two Door Cinema Club and Fenech-Soler ) is definitely worth a watch, while the single will come with a remix package that includes a rework from XXXY . Peanut Butter Blues & Melancholy Jam is out now on Brownswood. Get it here: CD / mp3
If you've been reading Metrojolt since the earliest of days, you've seen Ben's original post on Zeds Dead way back in the beginning of 2010. I would now like to return your attention to this duo from Toronto, comprised of DC and Hooks, that remains after years of listening one of the few dubstep producers I can consistently rely on to put out GOOD original dub material. We are currently in what I like to call the Dark Ages of Dubstep , which I suppose to some people might seem like a good thing as far as [...]
