Lupe Fiasco - LightWork (ft. Ellie Goulding) NEW MIXTAPE FROM LUPE! The follow up to Enemy Of The State which was supposed to drop two years ago but was cancelled because Lupe was annoyed at people leaking his tracks, which is fair enough. But, it's here now. Justice yo. Literally dropped 5 minutes ago (at the time of writing), WIB fast as lightning but not kung fu fighting aka refreshing Lupe's twitter for 10 minutes for your listening pleasure yo. The need for constant reinvention in modern music is something that is really starting to grate on me. Not every band can be like Radiohead and almost self-consciously seek to give themselves a new sound and image with every other album. Some bands simply try to do something different, take some risks and see if it works; the best example of this in the current UK music scene would arguably be The Horrors, who now sound absolutely nothing like how they started out. By all means, if it works, go for it, but at the same time, don't try too [...]
It was three years ago that we first featured General Fiasco in State, then a fresh faced trio who had just released their debut single. They've come a fair way since, gaining the support of the likes of Zane Lowe along the way. Their new EP Waves was released yesterday and sees the band, now a quartet, sounding better than ever we reckon..... General Fiasco - Waves EP by Dirty Hit
Here's the new video for General Fiasco 's song 'Waves', from their new EP of the same name released next week. It's shot in the "a day in the life of a band" kind of way and it's pretty neat. More info on this EP is available from this In the Post. Click here to view the embedded video.

The Northern Ireland rock group, General Fiasco , is set to release their new EP, Waves , on November 14th. Here's the video for the single "Waves."

Since the release of their 2010 debut album 'Buildings' the Northern Irish quartet have quickly built a large and loyal fanbase that's growing steadily with every new track that surfaces. New song 'Waves' sparkles energetically, highlighting the bands talent for crafting perky sing-along indie and delivers an infectious preview of their upcoming EP.

General Fiasco is a band that is fairly new to me. Though, ever since Two Door Cinema Club (I know, I know-I compare to them so much but I can't help it) came in to my life a couple of years ago, I can't help but instantly love anything that comes out from the U.K. Damn these Irish bastards with their good looks and good music. This is seriously the indie-pop tune that, to me, has become iconic of these groups. It's simply too joyful to let go. General Fiasco have released their first video to their sophomore album titled [...]
I appreciate the energy that courses through General Fiasco's music. It takes me back to my wilder, younger days. We featured their single "The Age You Start Losing Friends" on our end-of-summer mix, and these four dudes from Bellaghy, Northern Ireland are back with a video for their second single "Waves." Judging by all the [...]

General Fiasco will be releasing a new EP, 'Waves', in mid-November. The title track is a fun, loud guitar-fueled little number, just like 'Rebel Get By' and 'Ever So Shy' before it. It starts with a great thudding bassline behind Owen Starthern's winsome vocals. It struck me in this song for the first time in a General Fiasco that they don't sound like Irish at all on record. Hopefully this will help them find success outside the UK. But first things first: the band is playing a series of dates in Britain [...]

Brimming with confidence, energetic Northern Irish quartet General Fiasco return with a preview of the lead and title track of their forthcoming EP 'Waves', which is due out on November 14th. A triumphant, uproarious indie-pop gem, 'Waves' comes packed with hooks that immediately grab you and reel you into the catchy sing-a-long chorus. General Fiasco - Waves by Dirty Hit

I'm not completely sure Sunday night is the best time of the week for upbeat indie music but seeing as it counts as the end of my working week, tough! Nothern Ireland's General Fiasco have put out the title track from their upcoming EP Waves and anyone who has heard them before (or listens to Radio 1) will be unsurprised to discover that it is fantastically infectious. It's a stylish indie track with flecks of the electronic enabling it to stand out from the wealth of electro-driven pop around at the moment (which I enjoy but [...]
Believe you me, after searching lesbian bondage fiasco on google images, the picture you see above was pretty far down the list of images I felt like posting. Aniki is the name of a Norwegian producer whose tracks range techno to the naughty disco number we're serving up for you right here. The track features all the obligatory strings and lovely chopped female vocals of disco plus a nice little sampling of Jon Stewart at end. Once you've downloaded it, don't forget to clear your history cause this is a dirty little number you don't want your mom finding out [...]
