This is the stuff right here. Swedish jams all day long. I don't even know what I'm doing living in America anymore to be honest, it's becoming more and more obvious that the music mecca of the world is in Sweden. The trio Fibes, Oh Fibes! has linked up with Miike Snow and Peter Bjorn on "Cerahtonia", and the combination of the their styles, influences and musical direction works perfectly here. Look for their next album, creatively titled Album, sometime in 2012. Download: Fibes, Oh Fibes! - Cerahtonia [via All Things Go] Tweet

Cerahtonia by Fibes, Oh Fibes! Swedish trio Fibes, Oh Fibes! share with the world their brand new track "Cerahtonia, off their upcoming album "Album", due out in April. The album was produced by Pontus Winnberg of Miike Snow. Fibes, Oh Fibes!'s - Christian Olsson, Mathias Nilsson, and Edvin Edvinsson (one half of the duo Tiedye) - will drop their first official single "Apex Of The Sun" on January 21st. Enjoy. Fibes, Oh Fibes! are back in April 2012 with a new album called... Album . The first release is Cerahtonia . What is that? Where is that? They drop a lot of F bombs there. The song was produced by Pontus Winnberg of Miike Snow and is a diversion from their previous work. I am not sure what to make of this one, but the first proper single, [...]

Sa sa sa-weet Swedish songwriting on this gorgeous NYC morning! Little Majorette are a name I'd heard floating around over the past year or so, but had never taken the time to fully ear up on. And sha sha sha shame on me for claiming ignorance, because quirky arrangements like the ones we're about to hear should not go unnoticed. Let's drum up some love! Zoe Durrant, Petter Winnberg and Nils Tornqvist make up the trio, [...]
Fibes, Oh Fibes! have just released three short videos to promote their new single Love Will Always Find A Way , one of my favorite songs of 2009. Produced by Pontus Winnberg, aka Avant of Bloodshy and Avant (and a member of Miike Snow ), this song is all about the gorge piano line ... Part I: The singer loves his chest. And women dancing with scarves. Part II is [...]

Click here to view the embedded video. Looks like Kim Wilde has hung up her gardening gloves and dusted off the microphone for 'Run To You', a duet with Swedish band Fibes, Oh Fibes! Which do you prefer: gardening Kim, or singing Kim? And yes, it is a slow news day. { Arjan Writes }
The Swedes do it again! Check out Fibes, Oh Fibes! poptastic collaboration with '80s pop icon Kim Wilde on "Run To You," which is nothing short of pop perfection. Be moved. The track is taken from the group's new album "1987" that was released in Sweden earlier this month. Check out an interview with Kim Wilde and the Swedish trio below.
No video yet for Fibes, Oh Fibes! duet with Kim Wilde , but you can watch them below, performing it at some festival. I love how Christian Olsson's clothes never seem to cover him, even in their press pics. He always has on a very low-cut teeshirt and his pants seem sort of draped on (watch the end of the clip). He's very touchy feely, how he clings to her during the performance. You just know that if you invited Christian over for a drink, he'd be "all over that" in a hot minute. [...]

Thanks to Poster Girl ( who really did this post first ), for the news that Fibes, Oh Fibes! are streaming their new album 1987 right here . Below is my current album favorite... Dubious

This post comes with no real commentary because I'm in the process of of my first listen right now. To what? Fibes, Oh Fibes!'s new album, 1987 , which you too can listen to, right here . The link will only work until Wednesday, 9:30 AM Swedish time, though. I will say that so far it sounds more '70s (especially in instrumentation) than '80s. Thanks to Damian for the heads-up!
Songwriter update: I reported earlier that British (but with an American deal with Lava Records) singer Jessie J , who may now be going by Jessie, was working with Dr. Luke and Claude Kelly . We've since had the opportunity to hear what must be at least one result from that collaboration: Miley Cyrus 's "Party in the USA," co-written by Luke, Claude, and Jessie. Hopefully, though, we'll hear better things sung by Jessie herself on her debut album, supposedly due out this year. I'm skeptical about that actually [...]

Fibes, Oh Fibes! were a 6-piece Swedish rock band who I became obsessed with several years back after their 2006 release, Emotional . I had completely forgotten about the group until Sheena Beaston shared some new material a few days ago. Now down to just three members and with a new album out in a few days, my love affair with Fibes has been rekindled. Fibes have a weird name and an equally weird sound. Brass backing, heavy piano and soft rock leanings play homage to the styles of Phil Collins, Billy Joel [...]
What have I been playing over the last few months (a.k.a. trying to do some degree of catching up) that I haven't mentioned here yet? David Guetta feat. Akon, "Sexy Bitch" : "When Love Takes Over" is great. "Sexy Bitch" is even better. Speaks straight to the hips better than any song this year so far. Pitbull, "Hotel Room Service" : Pitbull should be mad at Guetta for taking that title from "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)," but he's probably too busy celebrating making a song [...]

In the realm of sudden, glorious surprises, Fibes, Oh Fibes! launches their new album 1987 on September 2. The first single, Love Child (with the brilliant video below) was one of the most uplifting singalong tracks of summer and their new tune, Run To You , is a solid duet with Kim "Kids In America" Wilde. Fibes has three members: [...]

När och var? 21 augusti - Malmö, Malmöfestivalen 28 augusti - Strömstad, The Cod 2 september - Stockholm, Debaser Slussens uteservering - Christian solo 16 oktober - Malmö, Babel 23 okbober - Cinderella, [...]

God, I love the Swedish like no other! And with an introduction to the Gothenburg based band, Fibes, Oh Fibes! , that cut straight to the soft spot in my heart, I'm pleased to let you in on a little secret. FOF! are beyond brilliant. Read on, readers. Fibes, Oh Fibes! are no stranger on the Swedish indielectro scene, and somehow, I had dismissed them when I initially heard a review of a track back in early 2007 when they were described as an updated version of Scissor Sisters.
