Field Mouse is a Brooklyn based dreampop duo with a penchant for pairing strong power pop melodies alongside big, atmospheric guitars. Their latest track, 'Tomorrow Is Yesterday' comes in advance of their as-yet-untitled debut album, which is set for release sometime later this year. A vintage dreamy earworm, 'Yesterday' appears to condense all the elements of classic dreampop into two-and-a-half minutes of pure musical bliss. 'Tomorrow Is Yesterday' builds wonderfully on the promise of Field Mouse's earlier 73 releases adding a slyly confident near bluesy shuffle and swagger not unlike British contemporaries The Horrors. As with most shoegaze [...]

Arnaud Potier As It's been kind of funny to see the incredulity that has that has met the announcement of Phoenix as a top-billed act as the Summer's festival lineups are rolled out in the US and Europe, with people scoffing "since when are Phoenix festival headliners?". The answer, of course, being "since they began headlining festivals" - which is to say this year, following the massive success of 20092s Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix and in anticipation of the April 23 release of Bankrupt! . [...]

Brooklyn's Field Mouse are planning to record their debut album later this year. As for now they have a new tune bouncing about the web. Here it is Tomorrow Is Yesterday. Wait, what? Field Mouse; Tomorrow Is Yesterday
Rachel Browne's pensive-yet-authoritative vocals combined with Andrew Futral's Billy Corgan-inspired guitar work makes Field Mouse a worthwhile listen. The Brooklyn quartet has plans of recording their first LP later this year. However, in the meantime, Field Mouse will be self-releasing a few tracks leading up to that point. Case in point, here is "Tomorrow Is [...]

Monday Music's the one weekly post wherein Some Of It Was True! drops its London-only rule. Come On Live Long - Little Ones If you've struggled home tonight through the snow/sleet/whatever, then make yourself a steaming mug of tea, put on a ridiculously oversized jumper and listen to this gentle dreamer. Gentle, that is, until it goes a bit loud and explosive. But even then, only in a gentle way. It's the gentlest explosion you'll probably ever hear. Little Ones comes [...]

Our casual lovers Field Mouse have a new song, off a TBA debut LP, called "Tomorrow Is Yesterday"... I'll let my buddy Mark / yvynyl introduce this one: A while back I started chatting with this young band from Brooklyn after they sent me a stellar dreamergaze single called ”You Guys are Gonna Wake Up My Mom”. You guys ate it up, we signed a deal with them at Small Plates Records, their 7” sold out, and we’ve all become good pals/drinking buddies in the meanwhile. Yeah that's [...]

Facebook / fieldmousemusic.com Brooklyn shoegaze quartet Field Mouse already have a couple of killer 7" to their name ( "You Guys Are Gonna Wake Up My Mom " and " How Do You Know " if you didn't already know), and now they return with their punchiest, power-pop track to date "Tomorrow Is Yesterday" (taken from an as yet unannounced album to follow later this year). Whilst there's hardly anything new about "Tomorrow Is Yesterday" the nostalgic cocktail of 90's fuzz-laden guitars, crashing drums and dreamy female vocals is used [...]
