Gotham's own new wavey/prog rock act Fires Of Rome dropped their kaleidoscopic, genre-dabbling debut record You Kingdom You back in January to pleasant response (most notably from The New York Times ) and have been riding that wave as of late while still remaining quite mysterious and sort of unchampioned as of right now. Völlig unbeachtet haben Fires of Rome ein Hammer-Album veröffentlicht. Dieses verbindet 80er Prog-Rock mit 00er Indie-Rock ohne kitischi zu wirken und liefert auch noch gleich die passende musikalische Untermalung zur Faith No More-Reunion. I really don't know what I would do without emusic. On a whim I downloaded this album as it was a popular download yesterday. Let's just say I've found out exactly why, and so has everyone else in my house...not that they've had a choice. This album offers up ten tracks of some of the catchiest music I've heard in some time. The singer has a voice that seems so familiar, but you can't quite place it. Got put onto this mash (thanks Will) and HOLY FUCK, this is sick. Mixed in 2007, by arguably the best masher around, Party Ben, it screams "fuck yes" and is defiantely a head boppa.
