
After seven years and three albums—2004's Spaces to Occupy and Abandon , 2007's full-length Last Blush , and the new Young Glow EP—Toronto-by-way-of-Brampto n band Five Blank Pages are calling it quits. The melodic Five Blank Pages have seen many changes in their line-up, had many supporting musicians and made plenty of friends around the city. They've been a part of the Toronto indie scene since I realized my fascination with music. It's a little bit of a blow to the whole tapestry of things, now that they've announced their final show. Spindrift, L.A.'s kings of psychedelia, will have the first official release the soundtrack to the critically acclaimed film, The Legend Of God's Gun, on July 21st. Members of the band had roles in the film, a story about a preacher-turned-gunslinger seeking vengeance.
