Lost in the Trees put out one of my favorite albums of 2010, and the NC band is due to release its new one, A Church That Fits Our Needs , March 20 on Anti-. This is the first video from the record, which finds bandleader Ari Picker working through the carnage of his mother's 2009 suicide. It's a tribute, of sorts, and it takes the band's orchestral folk sound to new heights. I love these guys, and I hope you do too. With melodic, flowing indie vibes reminiscent of Fleet Foxes , Dry The River made every 2012 list everywhere, and listening to The Chambers and the Valve, it's easy to see why. Earlier this week, ex-Fleet Foxes drummer and longtime singer-songwriter J. Tillman announced the details of his latest project Fear Fun , which will be released under the name Father John Misty, as opposed to his previous solo releases. A video for the first single "Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings" featuring Aubrey Plaza came attached with the announcement. Directed by Noel Paul, the video follows Plaza's character as she proceeds to trash a funeral and wander out in to the wilderness, before being captured by Tillman and summarily thrown in his van.
