How was your Christmas? Did you get stressed out and drink too much, and then pick up your sister from the airport dead drunk? Oh, me too. But it's not too late.. let's go back in time and pretend none of that other shit happened. Watch this.. Merry Christmas! I got you a Christine McVie album from before she was in Fleetwood Mac! After leaving Chicken Shack, she put out this s/t solo gem in 1970 as Christine Perfect and blew everyone away with it's bluesy arrangements and soulful ballads. It was just after this that things seemed [...]

mÉmoireD’amour (Anthony Freijat) provides this awesome, chill shoegaze cover of Rhiannon . I'm making quite the habit of featuring Fleetwood Mac covers and remixes. This one is off the latest EP from mÉmoireD’amour called Settle In . With mÉmoireD'amour being from Lawrence, Kansas, I will try to resist the urge to squeeze in a "we're not in Kansas anymore" reference. mÉmoireD'amour is basically translated as memory of love if I'm right. The sort haziness that encompasses our memories envelopes the sound on the album and on this particular song. It fits exceptionally well musically and it [...]
NBC's a capella competition The Sing-Off is coming to an end. Here's the songs that have been performed so far!

For a song that was very nearly left off their self-titled breakthrough, Fleetwood Mac's Landslide has had some serious legs. And while ultimately it may never be covered as many times as, say, MacArthur Park or Hallelujah , I think it's safe to say we're going to hear at least a few more renditions of it over the next couple decades. The newest entrant in the Landslide sweepstakes is Sin Fang , the dba of Seabear's Sindri Már Sigfusson. Sin Fang is prepping a full-length, [...]

Here is a little flip to the 80s hit "Everywhere" from the boys in Jamtech Foundation with some help from their friend Tom Hagen. Fleetwood Mac - Everywhere (Jamtech Foundation & Tom Hagen RMX) (gett)

Cut Copy swept me off my feet with their 80s new wave sound. But in their recent documentary that explores their process in creating a 3rd album, two words frightened the hell out of me: “new direction.” After what I thought was a disaster of a “new direction” for MGMT , I couldn’t bear to see Cut Copy make the same mistake. They spent days, weeks, months, listening to older albums trying to find inspiration for a new sound. And it’s apparent in the newest single, a glimpse into Cut Copy’s Zonoscope, that it [...]
