Hat tip to Floating Points on this one which we got after hearing his RA mix. Taken from Hanna's 2004 album Exquisite Style, something we definitely overlooked until now. Quite a unique blend of future jazz and deep house that sounds perfectly up to date with some of the music being produced right now.

There are few people in this world that have a musical taste I can truly trust. After working with him for years now on Potholes, our Art Director Theodore Taylor III has become one of those people. Not only does he have a great taste for music, but his design and art is on another level. Since he puts so much hard work into the site on a regular basis, we thought it would be a good idea to let you all get to know him a little better. Along with a killer mix of tracks that he put [...]

Shit guys, sorry for being so rubbish, my business quota has been filled for the next 16 years, especially considering I'm a world class procrastinator. On top of that, I've practically just been listening to old Beatles and jazz records for the past couple of months and I've got fuck all new stuff to share. Although I think I will do a bit of a jazz Delishcast to catalogue things. First up - one of the reasons I've been so busy is our endless string of Picnic parties, culminating in this weekend's gig with Horse [...]
Jazz, house, techno, disco, bass. Floating Points is the recording alias of London-based DJ/composer/producer Sam Shepherd. If you're already familiar with his work it's likely that your access point was "Vacuum Boogie," his irresistible 2009 track that despite its languid 116 beats per minute was among that year's major cross-genre success stories. In understanding Shepherd's approach to club music, it's important to point out his background in jazz piano and composition. However, in this case we're talking about far more than half-arsed Rhodes keys over a 4/4 kick. On tracks like "People's Potential" the feeling was [...]

Barely 2 years after the release of 'Black Sands', London-based label Ninja Tune will be releasing a remix album of Bonobo 's astonishing 'Black Sands' LP. Though a lot has changed in the musical landscape since 'Black Sands' was released, in a way things have come full circle as more and more producers are discovering the ambient soundscapes of downtempo, trip hop and deep house. On top of some delightful remixes from Machinedrum, FaltyDL, Cosmin TRG and Mark Pritchard, the collection will also feature two original Bonobo productions, 'Ghost Ship' and [...]

Photo by Jim Sanborn [ Eglo Records ] Ever since Sam Shepherd released the instant classic re-rub of Real To Reel's "Love Me Like This" in 2009, the producer has been on a steady roll, releasing a series of highly collectible plates for the most part on Eglo, the label he runs with Alexander Nut. Though his past releases have clearly [...]

Sorry about the delay on this stupid list guys, internet deprivation is the worst. Who gives a shit anyway though, 'Best Of' lists are lame and overdone. So here's mine! 2011 flat out fucking ruled. So much great music, so many great parties. We toured so many awesome DJs and ate so many delicious pizzas at our Sunday Sessions. Met so many lovely people and spent a horrendous amount of money on records. Whilst people were having their heads caved in by brostep and moombahton and whatever other whack rubbish is infecting clubs these days, I [...]

[RSS Readers: See post to listen to audio] The more I listen to Clams Casino the more I hear what makes him special, Tom from Beacon turn me onto this track after playing me some ASAP Rocky and Lil B , this track stuck with me, couldn't wait to go home and hunt it down. I love that the high hats aren't just set at 64 notes but instead you get these waves of variation and the vox is almost like something from Deep Forest but feels refreshing.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
