Five classic hip-hop songs remixed by particularly good producers. From Flying Lotus' dissection of the Lil Wayne classic from a few years back to Detroit's Ta'Raach's animating rendition of the Gangstarr track that made lemonade famous, each of these producers tease out a new dimension in the original songs. Today, tickets for Coachella 2013 already went on sale. This was just announced a week ago and I'm still sucking in my three day experience that happened only a month ago. Flying Lotus has revealed that his forthcoming new album release has been forced to be delayed. It had previously been set for a summer 2012 release date but now, according to Prefix , it will be more like to drop in the autumn. "That shit comes out in like October, or some shit," the producer told fans at a Sao Paulo live event. Flying Lotus previews some of his most recent work during a gig at Sonar Sao Paulo. The work will be featured on his new project, Until the Quiet Comes. Mixing in some new stuff and even throwing in a nod to MCA playing Beastie Boys track, "Intergalatic," and Radiohead, "Idioteque," Fly Lo leaves no creative stone unturned.

Last weekend, Flying Lotus performed at Sónar São Paulo music festival, where he previewed two new tracks from his forthcoming LP. Live video from the festival's webcast has now made its way online, and the entirety of FLying Lotus' set is available to watch. At the 00:30 and 5:00 marks, the California producer dropped new tracks from Until the Quiet Comes , which, during the performance, he said would be released sometime in October. I've never been lucky enough to see Flying Lotus live - Dave, of course, has - but now I can pretend that I have by watching this professionally shot footage from his performance at Sónar São Paulo. What's particularly noteworthy about this video isn't just that it's not filmed by some faithful concert-goer. It features FlyLo debuting new music off his upcoming album, Until The Quiet Comes , which drops this October "or some shit." CAN'T BREATHE. [ via ]

John Fogerty joined the Black Keys , Annie Clark of St. Vincent sang with Andrew Bird, and Thom Yorke came out during Modeselektor's set to perform "Shipwreck." Fitz & the Tantrums , the L.A. pop-soul outfit who just played the Coachella main stage and whose debut album "Pickin' Up the Pieces" has now sold north of 126,000 copies, get their turn at the Hollywood Bowl on July 1 when they join a bill that includes SoCal native Ben Harper and Saharan wizard Vieux Farka Touré.
