I cant remember where I stumbled upon Urchins . It was probably thru the Potty Mouth myspace, and got to listening to a few tracks in their player. But these blokes from the UK recently got picked up for both a Palms Out and a Potty Mouth release. Self described as a REEAAALLY good house party. Like seriously good... I'd kinda have to agree with them. They sent over pretty much their only track that's not on lockdown, a Foamo remix as well as a mixtape, both of which are so [...]
MMMatthias hit us up with a new mixtape today. Rolling with dirty electro beats from The Bloody Beetroots, Malente, Justice and a beast of a mash-up/remix of the A-Trak, Beetroots and Felix Cartal... [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]

About a month ago I was listening to Stereoheroes' Studio 88 mixtape and I came across a remix by Urchins that made me frolic on my swivel chair in a fit of glee, leaving me frothing at the mouth. In an attempt to learn and hear everything Urchins I promptly visited their MYSPACE and got in contact, extremely keen to get my hands on some of their cheeky tracks. Friendly enough, Austen explained that he was to be the UK representative for [...]

"I'm him [Alfred Nobel (1833-1896), who not only invented dynamite, but also bequeathed the Noble Peace Prize]. I created the mixtape game, but I'm not in to that no more. I'm doing Lil Wayne. I'm against it, anti-mixtape dude, and I don't know no mixtape DJ... f-ck you. If you a mixtape DJ, f-ck you. Y'all selling me out. I ain't put out 25 mixtapes. So f-ck y'all. F-ck Dat Piff. F-ck mixtape DJ's. F-ck all that. Suck my d-ck. I'm smelling myself. I'm too good." Apparently Lil' Wayne created the mixtape, so major props to [...]
"It has a 4/4 beat and a cut-up, glitch style which contrasts other dance genres such as progressive house and trance. The way in which it differs from other house music styles is that it usually discards the solo drum beat introduction, thus encouraging a more cut-up rather than blend mixing style amongst DJs. Other common elements of fidget house include vocal sample snippets and a prominent bassline which often bends in pitch, rather than progressing by the semitone." Foamo summermixtape 01. Radioclit - Secousse (Crookers remix) 02. The Yank - We cant be [...]

just in case i haven't mentioned it before, foamo is my favorite 'newcomer' fidget producer. while i haven't been into fidget that much when i first learned about it because everything seemed much too detuned for me, i am kinda all about it these days and that kid is definitely to blame for that as his basslines are just fucking energetic and catchy. i know the blog does not really reflect my passion for fidget that much but that's mainly just because all the labels are holding on really tight to the tracks and whenever i hit someone [...]

W.K.N.D. Post I am officially beginning PT 1 of summer holidays and as such I will be away through the W.K.N.D. and most of next week. However, the place that I am staying will have all the amenities that I (and You) have grown accustomed to. The only hiccup is that there will be no Sunday Post this W.K.N.D. To atone for such malfeasance I will drop a Holiday Post instead of a Sunday Post. I am bringin my ipod with me of course and some of the tracks that [...]

Some new releases here to check out and links to where you can get them. They are all fidget/wonk heaven and certainly made me cream a little. The first is a sample from the PottyMouth label and for the time being is exclusive to Beatport. Micky Slim - Hit the Club (Heavyfeet Remix) [BUY HERE] Foamo - Rockerman (Lee Mortimer Remix) [ BUY HERE] Scott Cooper and Andy George - Jump and Twist [BUY HERE]

Foamo - Moving It Over Here Foamo kills it. I just heard "Moving It Over Here" the other day and was blown away. I have heard MSTRKRFT drop this numerous times live and it is a total dancefloor killer, complete with a Crooker-esque bassline and a vox sample that everyone will sing along to. And this kid is only 21 and was sought out by JFK himself! Foamo - Everything Cool / Rockerman [Wearhouse Music] 1. Everything Cool 2. Rockerman 3. [...]

Usually, I don't eff with mp3's that aren't at least 128kbps, but this guy named Foamo was too dope to let pass. As noted below, here are some 96kbps edit's of a couple of his tracks, if you can get past the fact that they are really bad quality you'll see that they are speaker-banging, dance-floor killers. He's got a couple originals in the bunch, but the Lee Mortimer remix of "Rockerman" is the stand out. Actually, "Everything Cool" is real good too, shit, if you like grimy bass-lines and punching electro, Foamo is your guy. [...]
