Leave It All Behind has been one of my favorite albums over the past year. Phonte and Nicolay make good music, period. The emcee/singer and producer duo crafted another masterpiece with Leave It All Behind, which was their sophomore release. I don't know if you can classify them as soul, underground hip hop, or some kind of fusion in between, but whatever you call it, its just good music. Salacious Sunday Hip Hop Hits 7 Been listening to some old instrumental albums this week, and came across an old favourite - Foreign Exchange. The first two tracks are instrumentals off the album Connected. Both guys, Nicolay and Phonte, were involved in the Justus League collaboration albums that I wrote about last week . More awesome production, but none of their great verse on this stuff. The other offering is a mixtape BDJ forwarded me called "My Crew's Thinner".
