Couple of interesting news items from Nashville's Theory 8 Records. First, one of the more promising young bands I've heard in the past couple of years, De Novo Dahl, managed to flip their van on ice yesterday while driving home from a show in Washington D.C.. Everyone is OK, thankfully, but the band's van and various instrumentation were destroyed. No word yet on whether those silly outfits

Today's band is arguably the loudest band that is participating in this feature. AVEC has been known to turn it up and put on a stellar live show. They can also turn it down a notch and be just as effective. No matter what they do, you will always go home satisfied. Ask around Baltimore and anybody who has seen them live, will tell you this. If you don't listen to WOXY.com, you probably haven't heard the band's music, and that's a shame. First off, Nashville's Forget Cassettes has one of the best band names I've heard in ages. Something about it just sounds so right to me. And luckily, it's not wasted on a lousy band.
