Keeping their association with the Canadian music scene, the new video from Fred is the product of Toronto based animator Leo Kavanagh - who gives the track 'Somewhere Else' from their fine Leaving My Empire album a festive visual feel. The band play Triskel Christchurch, Cork on 22nd December and Mixtape NYE, Vicar Street on 31st Dec.

Difficult forth album from a maturing band who write clever tunes. It's a good album but I'm left wanting something that isn't there from a band I really admire. 'Leaving My Empire' is the forth album from Fred who are one of Ireland's best live bands. Much of the 2008 album 'Go God Go' was of the highest quality and brought them to Canada and increased their worldwide fan-base. After a bit of a hiatus they recorded the album [...]
It's nice to see that Fred haven't lost their touch with the music video, as this track from their excellent Leaving My Empire album proves. We always like a bit of interpretative dance here at State, plus it's nice to see a crisp eating cameo from their old keyboard player Eibhilin O' Gorman.
