Women are one of those bands that you'll never be able to figure out. This is meant in the best way possible. With stark vocals and moody instrumentation, their newest album "Public Strain" creates an atmosphere that makes you uncomfortably yearning for more. It will be interesting to see how this translates live. The living room atmosphere of the Hemlock Tavern will present a chance to see this band so close that if you're ears aren't bleeding by the end of it, you're just not doing it right. by trudy The whirlwind of CMJ week has finally drawn to a close and we're happy to report that QC's Anti-CMJ Showcase at Market Hotel was a huge success. The loaded bill featured five bands and was highlighted by high energy and innovative performances by UUVVWWZ and Sleigh Bells .
