There are a couple of cracking singles being released soon on Brighton's Faux Discx record label, and I reckon those of you who collect such things will be very much interested in snapping up a copy. Calgary's Women is still my favorite band. Hearing about their so called "break" left me feeling all bummed out. Hoping the band will get back together. Found out that split 72 was released on Jan 10, 2011. For now the band has done a limited edition split 72 with Friendo (Michael Wallace who plays drum with Women, which is other band.), Cold Pumas and Fair Ohs . Fresh jam “Bullfight” appeared on a recent split with Fair Ohs , Cold Pumas , and Friendo . Brighton label Faux Discx have just announced the release of a Canada/ UK split 73 for early January 2011. The 73 will feature a brand new track by Women called "Bullfight" as well as a contribution from Friendo (featuring Michael of Women) in the shape of "Pass Times". For a band that is of the lowest of lo-fi, Calgary's Friendo sure talks with plenty of confidence.
