The UK electro-pop quartet Friends Electric is releasing their single Puzzle Pieces on October 24th. The jam has been officially leaked and deserves a spin on your iTunes, Spotify or WinAmp (holler at me if you still use WinAmp). The song wastes no time getting right into the think of the hook. With some sweet stick work on the drums and a bass line that gives the rest of the jam space but still drives it forward. The breakdown at about the three minute mark helps build the song further, cementing the frenetic synth in your head. The NBA draft went down last night and something unexpected happened. It appears one of two things is happening. Due for release on June 20th it's probably their best track so far. Camden has always been a place that prides itself on contrast. And so it was I came to see Friends Electric play at Proud Galleries, only to witness the bizarre choice of supporting 'band': XO Man. Whatever you might think of grime/hip-hop theincrediblynamed set closer would have enamoured them to you either way; 'Bass Made Your Pussy Wet'.
