On April 20th, music lovers around the world all frolicked to our favorite vinyl and CD shops in honor of National Record Store day, celebrating all aspects of the music industry. On that same day, Frightened Rabbits Scott Hutchinson and Manchester Orchestras Andy Hull gave us one more reason to celebrate with their collaborative single, Architect. At times I worry this site is become a Frightened Rabbit fan-page , as whenever they release anything it tends to drown out other records. It was back to the Zoo last Thursday for a fun filled night of Scottish traditional music: Frightened Rabbit supported by Admiral Fallow. Despite having one of the poorer names in recent history, the opening act's frontman had an amazing voice and great sound all round to be honest. Thursday night at the Oxford Art Factory was a seething, sweaty mass of humanity. We came as one to celebrate song. Passion. Life. Scotland's Frightened Rabbit were finally back in this country and they gave their all and then some. You can best file this band under 'Flying Under the Radar'. They have everything. Great melodies.
