Friska Viljor, the Swedes by way of Berlin, have frequently channeled something that sounds like a brass band exploding in a telephone booth. This is a compliment, not musical terrorism. On "Passionseeker" the seventh track off their latest release, the band sounds far more like countrymen the Shout Out Louds, although a version that embraces the highest of highs instead of pluming the depths.

Friska Viljor relased their fourth album "The Beginning of the Beginning of the End" during spring. If I felt that the last album "New Beginnings" was a little more restrained than the previous "Tour de Hearts" , they are pretty much unleashed this time. Das I Love Sweden Projekt von Valerie präsentiert eine liebevoll gedrehte, gut einstündige Dokumentation über Musik aus der schwedischen Hauptstadt. Dabei stört kein nerviger Erzähler, die mitwirkenden Musiker stellen sich kurz selbst vor und performen dann jeweils einen Song, akustisch reduziert.
