The first Portland Folk Festival has just announced its preliminary lineup — a healthy mix of local and international artists, who will be appearing in spaces throughout Downtown, Alberta, Mississippi and Southeast Portland from August 19-22. Most local folk fans will probably be familiar with names like Loch Lomond, the Freak Mountain Ramblers and Future Historians , but there are a few less conventional acts in the program who are also of note.
