MOKB has already announced a couple of other parties for this year at SXSW. In addition to those, we are very happy to announce that we are teaming up with the fine folks at Paper Garden Records . We are taking over Uncorked, a beautiful outdoor space overlooking Downtown Austin, located on 900 East 7th Street from 3pm until 11pm on Thursday, March 15th. Nine SoCal bands are playing Buzz Bands LA's "Dear Austin: Love, L.A." day party next Wednesday on the first day of the South by Southwest Music Festival. It seems like 999 SoCal bands are actually headed to Austin. When we started culling music from those artists, our uploader begged for for mercy. So we called upon old friend Kay Randolph (who had storage in his Soundcloud account) to assemble "LA x SXSW x 44," a mix featuring a selection of tunes that some of the participating bands have made available for download. This beautifully shot black & white, "mystery man chases young woman" clip is the official video for GANGI 's Outside Ones . The song is taken from the duo's forthcoming album Gesture Is , off which you can stream some other tracks on their Bandcamp . If you combine the melancholy of Destroyer and NewVillager's mythpop, you get something like this. Directed by Montana Casey .

MOKB has been following Matt Gangi's appropriately titled Gangi project since back in 2008. For the new album he has found a new collaborator in Eric Chramosta. They were nice enough to let us know about their video for the new tune Outside Ones . The song is set to appear on their new album Gesture Is this spring. The 13th annual Eagle Rock Music Festival has it wired. The daylong neighborhood affair along Colorado Boulevard will feature 11 scions of the L.A. beat scene — the Low End Theory stage boasts performances by Flying Lotus, Nosaj Thing and the Gaslamp Killer, among others — and enough of this city's top indie music to make a junction function.
